Jacob Sowers 24 was born in 1710 24 and died in 1781 24 at age 71.General Notes: The family were originally members of The German Reformed Churchwhich was located in what is now Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, VA adjacentto the ruins of the old Lutheran church and its surrounding graveyard. The graveyard ofThe German Reformed Church is still there. From the booklet "The Bethel Register," the first entry of the BethelMinute Book which reads, "July 16, 1808. - William Davis, James Sowers, Elizabeth (Kerfoot) Sowers (ed.note: wife of James) and John Graves, having recieved letters of dismission from Buck Marsh Church, DoCovenant and Agree to unite together in a Church called Bethel."
