InalaHow do I get involved?Young peopleWe’re a service for young people, and we can’t do it withoutyour help! There are lots of ways for you to have fun, getinvolved and give back at headspace Inala, including joiningour youth advisory group, helping with tutoring, giving usfeedback and liking us on Facebook.Friends of headspace InalaPeople over 25 can help out too! Looking for someoneelse to talk to?If you’re aged between 12 and 25, you can get health advice,support and information from headspace Inala.We can help if you:- feel down, stressed or can’t stop worrying- haven’t felt like yourself for a long time- can’t deal with school or are finding it difficult to concentrate- feel sick or are worried about your health- want to cut down on your drinking or drug use- want to talk about sexuality, identity or relationships- are having difficulties with friendships- have sexual health issues or want to find out aboutcontraception- are being bullied, hurt or harassed- are worried about work or study- are having money trouble.Getting help early makes a big difference to how quicklyand how well you can get your life back on track.What’s it like atheadspace Inala?headspace Inala was designed for young people and is afriendly, welcoming and colourful place! We offer a rangeof services and groups and have an experienced team ofprofessionals who are here for you.You can come to headspace Inala to talk to someone if you’rehaving a tough time. We’re here to help you find a way to dealwith what you’re going through and give you advice about howto improve your situation.At headspace Inala, we know you might feel a little nervousabout asking for help, so we listen to what you tell us to makesure we give you the right support.The services we provide are nearly always free and all youngpeople are welcome. You can get in contact with us yourself,or ask someone else to do it for you, and if you want to bring afriend along, that’s OK too. Drop in any time and check us out!How do I access headspace Inala?You can refer yourself by visiting our Inala centre,or by calling us on 3727 5000. You can also email us atreferrals@headspaceinala.com.au, but please be aware thatwe only respond to emails during business hours.How do I refer a youngperson to headspace Inala?Families, carers or friendsFamilies, carers or friends can refer a young person toheadspace Inala. The young person needs to be aware of thereferral and be willing to meet with us.To make a referral on behalf of a young person, please phone3727 5000 or email referrals@headspaceinala.com.au.We will contact the young person to make an appointment.Health care professionals or schoolsYoung people can be referred to headspace Inala by schools,health or community workers.Referrals must be received in writing on the headspace Inalareferral form, faxed to 3279 8444 or emailed toreferrals@headspaceinala.com.au.Referrals should include as much information as possibleand be undertaken with the consent of the young person.Once we receive a referral, we’ll contact the young personas soon as possible.
