Shegrew up in a family who was very interested in Asian art and as a result, hasa deep appreciation for it as well. Her pieces reflect an Eastern influenceon ceramics and capture the balance between fine details and artisanimperfection found in similar Japanese styles. Aliya’s pieces are elegant andpensive like the culture she drew inspiration from. Although she has neverbeen to Asia, she hopes to go there someday.
