Media Release – AUSTRALIA DAY A<strong>WA</strong>RDS <strong>2013</strong> - Friday 25 January <strong>2013</strong><strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>WA</strong> <strong>Staff</strong> Honoured<strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>WA</strong> joined in the <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Day</strong> celebrations by presenting National <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Day</strong>Council Achievement Medallions and Certificates to members of staff during an awardceremony on Friday 25 January <strong>2013</strong>. Awards were presented by <strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>WA</strong> Chairman,Kevin Campbell AM, and Managing Director and CEO Kevin Davidson MVO, OAM.<strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>WA</strong> Senior Village Manager, Kaye Ireland, Meadow Springs Residential <strong>Care</strong> FacilityManager, Helen King, and the Menora Gardening and Maintenance team, comprising DesByrne, Chris Jarvis, Roy Smith, Dean Usher and Cedric Konstz, were awarded <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Day</strong>Council Medallions and Certificates in recognition of their sustained outstanding service toresidents of Retirement Villages, Residential <strong>Care</strong> Facilities and to their colleagues.The National <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Day</strong> Council Achievement Medallions and Certificate are a way toacknowledge the outstanding contributions and performance of teams and individuals. The<strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Day</strong> Medallions are reserved for the highest level of recognition and areparticularly relevant when presented in the lead up to <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Day</strong>.Managing Director and CEO, Kevin Davidson said that for the Chairman, Board Members and<strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>WA</strong> senior management team it is a particularly special way of recognising <strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong><strong>WA</strong> staff members sustained outstanding service to the many residents and staff they carefor and support on a daily basis.<strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>WA</strong> manages Retirement Villages, Residential Aged <strong>Care</strong> Facilities and Community<strong>Care</strong> programs with facilities located in Menora, Meadow Springs, Mandurah, Jurien Bay,Geraldton and Lesmurdie.<strong>RSL</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>WA</strong>’s head office is located at the Menora Gardens Retirement Village andResidential <strong>Care</strong> Facility site, at 16 Freedman Road, Menora, approximately 7km from PerthCBD. The Menora site comprises 126 residential Villas and Apartments, Community Centre,and a 178 bed Residential <strong>Care</strong> Facility surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens andparklands. The Meadow Springs Residential <strong>Care</strong> Facility has 55 beds and is also surroundedby landscaped gardens.Community <strong>Care</strong> programs are provided in Perth covering the North Metropolitan andEastern Hills areas, and also in the Mid-West region (Geraldton).
