Joint <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Accounts</strong> EventBriefing NoteThe Health Policy and Performance Board (HPPB) and Halton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)arranged a Joint <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Accounts</strong> event on Tuesday 30 th April 2013.The aim of the session was to invite local healthcare providers along to the event to present asummary of their draft <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Accounts</strong>. This would enable both HPPB and the CCG to formulatecomments on the <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Accounts</strong>, and also for the healthcare providers to demonstrate they haveconsulted with the relevant organisations.Presentations were received as follows:Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust – Dorian Williams, Director of Nursing, Dot Keates,Deputy Director of Nursing and <strong>Quality</strong>, Linda Spooner, Head of Clinical and Professional Leadershipand Dr Stephen Ward gave their presentation. This included:• The services they provide• Transforming health and social care provision• An affordable solution for local health economies• Independent <strong>Quality</strong> and Governance Assessments• The clinical networks• Cost Improvement Plans• Monitor guidance for <strong>Quality</strong> Impact Assessments• Priorities for <strong>Quality</strong> Improvement 2012/13• Integrated Clinical and <strong>Quality</strong> Strategy Goals• Areas of good practiceBridgewater also produced some extra papers with specific information relating to Halton including:• Dementia Care• QUIPP• Falls• Patient Involvement in Care PlanningWarrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Hannah Grey, Corporate NursingProgrammes Manager and Millie Bradshaw, Associate Director of Governance gave theirpresentation. This included:• A description of the services they provide• Cheshire and Merseyside Treatment Centre• Facts and figures• Regulation versus value-based approach• Clinical governance and quality• Clinical Research and Development

This included:• Trust background• Stakeholder consultation• <strong>Quality</strong> priorities for 2012/13• <strong>Quality</strong> priorities for 2013/14Following each presentation there were questions and discussions. The presentations along withthe questions and discussions will be used to provide formal written responses to each healthcareprovider on their <strong>Quality</strong> Account.
