The 5.5 hectareplot, formerly comprising a 1960’sdistribution warehouse, was boughtby Gazeley in 2008, and has detailedplanning permission for a new 26,194sq. m. This will enable us toimprove efficiency, give better serviceand value as well as provide our peoplewith a safer and more modern workingenvironment.”The derelict buildings on the site havebeen demolished and a new entrance tothe site is currently under construction,which will reduce vehicle movementsthrough Strood town centre and providea more direct route, of less than a mile,to Junction 2 of the M2.Gazeley’s involvement in the site reflectsthe popularity of the area in terms ofdevelopment and investment.
