The laboratory seeking to obtain a Certificate ofRecognition by the DENR shall prepare and submit theapplication document, the contents of which are given in Section3.a of this Administrative Order.The Secretariat consisting of EMB staff shall be createdto coordinate and support activities related to the recognition ofenvironmental laboratories by the DENR. It shall make apreliminary assessment of the completeness of the applicationdocument. After the document has been assessed and therelevant data/information has been found to be included in thedocument, the same shall be forwarded to the members of theLaboratory Inspection and Assessment Team (LIAT).b. Laboratory inspection and assessmentWithin 30 working days upon receipt of the completeapplication document, the Laboratory Inspection andAssessment Team (LIAT) shall inspect the applicant laboratoryand validate the data and information contained in the saiddocument.The LIAT shall be composed of the following:Two (2) External Assessors;Two (2) EMB Assessors; andOne (1) DENR/EMPAS AssessorThe External Assessors shall be designated by the EMBDirector in consultation with relevant professional groups.
