like our pageGeneral Club NewsWe have been sucessful in finding volunteers (is that the right word – or should I saypersuaded!) to do Meet Manager and Gala Entries but we have not been successful with thefollowing:Club Secretary Needed….. This is a very important role and includes: booking the pools, schools and halls (which is an on-going let so not much to do here) Communicating training changes and important club news to members Being the contact point got club correspondence, distributing it to the right personand raising at committee meeting (only about 9 a year) Being contact point for new membersTHE EXISTING SECRETARY HAS RESIGNED SO WE MUST GET SOMEONE TO COMEFORWARD AND VOLUNTEER OR THERE WILL BE NO COMMUNICATION AT ALLTechnical Official Convenor.......To keep a log of all officials and timekeepers, organise new workshops (2 phone callsprobably once a year). Not much to it but a job needing filled!REMEMBER THIS IS YOUR CHILDS CLUB AND THE MORE PEOPLE THAT HELP LESSENTHE LOAD ON THE PEOPE WHO DO SO MUCH AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE VOLUNTEERWe have drawn up a Gala document which details the gala's the coaches would like eachtraining zone to target. If you have any queries at all about Gala's, swimmers times etc.please contact Linda Nimmo at the.nimmos@hotmail.co.uk in the first instance rather thanthe coaches. The coaches and the gala entries work very closely together and have regularmeetings to discuss gala's, swims etc. so if you contact Linda she will address your query orfind out for you. Remember if you are not sure how gala's work there is a section on thewebsite under Gala's called 'How Gala's Work' and this gives you an insight of how we runthings. The Open Water season will be starting shortly.
