ATTIREMen: Collared shirt or PGA tour quality mock turtleneck ispreferred for the Par 3. T-shirts are accepted but must be ingood taste and with no inappropriate messages on them. Nomuscle shirts, undershirts or tank tops will be allowed. Slacksor shorts are acceptable. No cut-offs, swim trunks, or gymshorts are allowed on the course.Women: Appropriate tops (no spaghetti or string tops; notube tops or overly revealing or midriff tops, etc); Slacks orappropriate length skirts or shorts are acceptable.Shoes: Appropriate shoes are required. Golf shoes, sneakers,and golf sandals are acceptable. Flip flops are not acceptable.Any shoes that leave tear marks on the green are notpermitted on the course.ETIQUETTEEtiquette is very important. Repairing divots, fixing ball marks,keeping your pace of play are all examples of etiquette.PACE OF PLAYIt is important to keep up with the group in front of you. Ifthere is more than one hole open in front of you and there isa group that is consistently waiting behind you, please allowthe golfers behind you to pass. It is a form of etiquette and willallow all golfers to have more fun. A normal round of golf atthe Par 3 takes 1 ½ hours.RAIN CHECKSRain checks are given when inclement weather forces the golfcourse to close. Ke’alohi Golf CourseJoint Base Pearl Harbor-HickamThe Ke’alohi Golf Course is a beautifulnine-hole golf course convenientlylocated off Kuntz Avenue on 185McClelland Street, across the streetfrom the J.R. Rocker’s Enlisted Club.This 22 acre facility first openedfor play in 1961. The golf courseoperates year-round and is the onlymilitary golf course open for nightplay as the facility has all nine holesunder lights. Ke’alohi measures 1435total yards with holes ranging from100 to 200 yards. It plays to a par27 for men and a par 29 for women.This facility provides a practicechipping green, putting green, fullystocked pro shop, and provideschallenges to players of all abilities.The course is very family friendly andprovides two sets of tees, one for theexperienced golfer and one for thegolfers that are just beginning.GENERAL RULESEach player must have a set of clubs and isrequired to register at the Pro Shop prior toplay. No pets are permitted on the golf course.No outside food or beverages are allowed onthe course. No personal coolers are permittedon the course.GOLF COURSE POLICIES ANDAUTHORIZED PLAYERSActive-duty military personnel assigned toor directly supported by the Joint Base PearlHarbor-Hickam community.Other services active-duty military personnel,reserves, National Guard, retired personneland their respective family membersDoD civilian employees assigned to JBPHHand their family members.PLAY GOVERNING DEPENDENT CHILDRENDependent children, ages 7 through 12 years whodemonstrate a substantial knowledge and ability of thegame are permitted to play with the permission of thestarter. All other novice golfers in this age group mustbe accompanied by a responsible adult.GUESTSAuthorized players and their families may invite guests toplay on military golf courses.GREEN FEESGreen Fees are paid daily and in 9-hole increments. Youmay play more than 9 holes but you will be charged anadditional 9-hole fee. Ask your starter if there are anyspecials happening on the day you are playing. Kealohioffers specials on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays i.e.play 9 holes, get your second round half price.ADVANCED GREEN FEESAuthorized patrons may purchase an advanced green feecard. All advance green fee cards will be good for oneyear from the date of purchase and may be used by theindividuals’ family members with and ID card.TEE TIMETee times can be given 14 days in advance. Please callthe pro shop at 448-2318 for your tee time. If you donot have a tee time, you will be put on the waiting list.The waiting list is allocated to customers on a first-come,first-served basis. All golfers must register with the starter15 minutes prior to their starting time. Failure to do somay void your reservation and the starter will fill the timefrom the waiting list.TOURNAMENTS AND SHOTGUN STARTSKe’alohi Golf Course provides you with the opportunityto have tournaments and shotgun starts. All tournamentsshould be scheduled at least 30 days in advance andrequires a $100 deposit to hold the date of your event.OFFICE OUTINGSThe Ke’alohi Golf Course is a great place to hold afun-filled event with co-workers. With the 10th PukaSports Lounge and a food concessionaire available, thiscourse can be your destination for the afternoon to bringfamily and friends together.
