Multisport <strong>Camp</strong>sVariety Village has traditionally offered integratedmultisport camps for participants of all ages andabilities.Kindergym and Swim ages 4-5 yearsVariety of sensory, craft, physical, and aquatic activitiesto enhance skill development. Maximum 15campers per session. Half days only.Bantamages 5-7 yearsParticipants develop their gross motor skillsthrough organized games and activities in a funand safe environment.Intermediateages 8-10 years<strong>Camp</strong>ers participate in and learn skills throughgames, drills and team activities.Juniorages 11-13 years<strong>Camp</strong>ers participate in games and sports to developtheir individual skills, and self-esteem.<strong>Camp</strong> Extremeages 10-13 years<strong>Camp</strong>ers have the opportunity to participate in“extreme” sport activities, including rockwall,high-ropes training, aquatic sports and other highenergy activities.Seniorages 14-19 years<strong>Camp</strong>ers participate in age appropriate games andsports to best improve on their sports related skills.Youth and Young AdultsThese camps are designed for youth and youngadults with special needs. They are offeredthroughout the summer during specified weeks.<strong>Camp</strong> begins at 1:00p.m. and conclude at 8:00p.m.,Monday to Friday, and meals are included.TEEN Sport and Social ages 14-19 yearsThe TEEN Sport and Social is a continuation of ourday program and our successful Sport and Socialprogram.Sport and Social <strong>Camp</strong> ages 20+ years<strong>Camp</strong>ers participate in a variety of different sportsactivities adapted to their skill levels. Also includedare field trips and social events taking placethroughout the week.Grassroots <strong>Camp</strong>sThese camps are designed to introduceindividuals of all abilities to specific sports.Track and Funages 8+ yearsParticipants will learn proper techniques ofrunning, throwing and jumping. Skills learned canbe transferred to other activities andeveryday life.Swimmingages 8+ yearsParticipants will learn and develop competitivestrokes, start and turns. Participants should becomfortable in the water and able to swim at leastone width of the pool.Synchroages 8+ yearsParticipants will learn the fundamentals of synchrowhile developing their swimming skills. Participantsshould be able to swim one width of the pool.Sports <strong>Camp</strong>sWheelchair Basketball ages 10-22 yearsA day camp which focuses on fitness and skilldevelopment. The core of the program focuses onathletes with aspirations of competing at provincial,national and international events.Maximum 35 participants.Integration and PersonalSupportTo ensure that all campers actively participate inand enjoy camp, any participants in the followinggroups will require an attendant, support worker orcaregiver to accompany them to camp:• Individuals who are medically fragile, have ag-tube, tracheotomy tubes or those who requiresuctioning.• Individuals who require assistance withpersonal care, for example transferring,toileting, feeding and personal hygiene.• Individuals with behavioral concerns(for example physical and verbal aggression)who require support to participate in groupactivities.Please contact the <strong>Camp</strong> Coordinator to discussarrangements and options regarding personalsupport options for camp participants.


Drop off and pick up guidelinesParticipants must be dropped off at thecamp meeting location by a parent, guardianor caregiver.
