GMP CircleFeeder TECHNICALBULLETINThe LCI GMP Circle Feeder is aproven solids metering device forpharmaceutical and other cleanroom applications. Its unique “clamshell” design allows for easy andcomplete cleaning. It also has apatented discharge system thatensures plug or mass flow (firstin/first out). Other important featuresare:• Suitable for powders or wet cakes• Slow rotation for gentle handling• Variable speed drive for 10:1 turndown• Mirror finish, 400 grit• Sanitary clamps for quickdisassembly• Large inlet eliminates bridging• Casters for easy mobility in and outof “clean” roomsOperationAs the central vane 1 slowly rotates,the material is radially moved underthe fixed ring 2 and conveyed to thedischarge port 3 . This allows thelevel of material in the hopper to dropevenly, creating mass flow conditionsin the hopper.
