It provideshighly accurate measurements of ISO Standardbeam profile parameters, including beamdiameter, centroid, and power/energy. TheIEEE 1394 interface offers enhanced ease-ofuseand portability. The FireWire BeamPro CCD camera isavailable in either a 2/3" format or a 1/2" formatwith a small form factor, allowing easyplacement into typical optical paths. The high dynamic range (72dB power ) and 12-bitdigitization of this array is impressive enough, but profiles with greater than 144dB power (~24-biteffective digitization) can also be acquired withExtended Range Imaging. High dynamic range isimportant in many applications, especially lenscharacterization, where lens aberrations areapparent from faint features around a strongcentral peak in the beam profile. The CCD is sensitive from 190nm to 1100nmwavelengths. The standard configuration issupplied with a glass 2.8 ND filter forwavelengths >380nm, while the camera can beequipped with a wavelength-specific (e.g., (355or 266nm) UV transparent filter. This instrument provides a high level ofportability for beam profiling, since a peripheralframe grabber card is not required for thissystem. Thus, this equipment can be easilytransferred to different laptop or desktopcomputers without the additional step ofinstalling a frame grabber card.Photon Inc.B020806484

FireWire BeamPro Page 2FireWire BeamPro Acquisition andAnalysis SoftwareThe FireWire BeamPro Software is writtenspecifically for Microsoft Windows XPProfessional or Microsoft Windows 2000Professional and takes full advantage of themenu driven, multi-windowing environment. The software performs rigorous data analysesin accordance with the ISO standards, providing quantitative measurement ofnumerous beam spatial characteristics.Pass/Fail limit analysis for each of theseparameters can be also applied. For data display and visualization, the usercan arrange and size multiple windows asrequired. These may contain, for example, live video, calculated beam parameters andsummary statistics in the form of graphs, tables, 3D views and strip chart time displays. These user instrument views can be saved asfiles for future use.Data can be exported to spreadsheets, mathand statistical analysis programs andprocess/instrumentation control programs bylogging to files or COM ports, or by sharingusing ActiveX Automation.♦FeaturesIEEE 1394 (FireWire) connectivity♦ Two formats — 1/2" or 2/3"♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦High Dynamic RangeExternal and Software Trigger withasynchronous resetExposure and Gain ControlSingle shot, pulsed, or continuouswave operationPhoton BeamPro filer Acquisition andAnalysis Software with stand-aloneGUI and ActiveX AutomationInterfaceSmall form factor (49 x 62 x 62mm)Cover glass removed toeliminate fringesHigh beam profiling accuracy beamdiameterPC Specifications1.8GHz or faster Pentium IVProcessorSoftware Window Views for DataDisplay and Visualization♦ Video Dual Aperture Profiles♦ Beam Statistics♦ 3D Profile View♦ 2D Topographic View♦ Up to 15 Time Statistics Charts♦ Pointing/Targeting♦ M 2 Interactive Wizard♦ Notes♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦Windows XP Professional SP1 orWindows 2000 Professional SP3Operating SystemIEEE 1394a (FireWire Port)512 MB of RAMCD-ROM Drive30MB free space on hard diskSVGA display monitor64MB Color SVGA graphics cardMouse or other pointing deviceKeyboardPhoton Inc.
