12(1)Students from the <strong>Budapest</strong> Campus may choose to liveoff-campus in Westminster, but they are expected tomake individual arrangements for finding an apartment.Transfer students are advised to reside on campus. Theamounts given are based on the rate of a standard doubleroom in a traditional residence hall. The rates for apartment-typehousing, equipped with kitchen facilities (doubleoccupancy), are somewhat higher.(2)The college offers “block plans” of 150 to 240 meals (anaverage of 10/16 meals per week) in order to providemaximum flexibility. Board is optional for students livingin apartment-type housing or off-campus.(3)The matriculation fee is a one-time initial enrollment fee.(4)The unused balance of the security deposit will be returnedwhen student leaves campus housing.REMARK: Modest annual increase in tuition,room and board may be expected.FINANCIAL AIDMerit-based scholarship are available at the <strong>Budapest</strong>Campus to students in good academic standing.<strong>McDaniel</strong> <strong>College</strong> has established a scholarshipprogram for <strong>McDaniel</strong> <strong>Budapest</strong> students tofacilitate their transfer to Westminster for theupper two years and to enable them to completetheir studies at the home campus in the UnitedStates at a reasonable cost.The financial aid awards (reflected in the specialtuition rate for <strong>McDaniel</strong> <strong>Budapest</strong> students)will be made on a one-year basis, and will berenewable if the student has maintained therequired academic standing. The minimum requirementfor any financial aid granted to studentstransferring to Westminster is an overallGrade Point Average of at least 2.00.REFUND POLICYStudents are not entitled to a refund of the tuitionfee if they are compelled to withdraw foracademic or disciplinary reasons.Students are entitled to a refund on a proratabasis if studies are interrupted due to prolongedillness, or other unexpected circumstancessuch as the death of a parent or guardian, theobligation to do military service, etc.The refund is applicable from the first day ofthe month following notification of the abovedescribedcircumstances with accompanyingofficial certification.REFUND SCHEDULE1.
