The LA also commissions a network of specialist additionally resourced provision frommainstream schools. This provision supports children with statements of autism/complexcommunication needs, moderate learning difficulty or specific language disorder. Details are given inSection 2a.2.9 Educational support for learners with sensory impairments, autism/complexcommunication needs, medical needs which prevent school attendance, School agemothers and learners who require alternative and augmentative communication/assistive ICT.The LA Integrated Services - Specialist Support supports (works with) learners (children and young people)from pre-school through to F/HE. In order to achieve this, we also work to promote the skills and confidence of those who workprofessionally with young people and with parents. This will include those working in a range of communitysettings such as schools, colleges, Children’s homes, children’s centres and in the young person’s home.The young person’s context and environment is seen as important in their development.
