NIST WelcomesNIST welcomes the following members to its Parivaar:Dr. Martha Narayan Murty joined as Faculty in theDepartment of Physics. He has done hisB. Sc. in Physics (Hons.) from Sri KrushnaChandra Gajapati (SKCG) College,Paralakhemundi and M. Sc. Physics fromBerhampur University. Dr. Murty has donehis Ph. D. on ‘Algorithm and Architecturefor VLSI Implementation of Discrete Sine Transform’.He has a vast teaching career of more than 35 years,working at different colleges like, Govt. Science College,Chhatrapur; Govt. College, Bhawanipatna; SKCG College,Paralakhemundi; Khallikote College, Berhampur; SriSathya Sai University, Prasanthinilayam, AP; KalamInstitute of Technology, Berhampur. His research interestlies in the field of Signal Processing.Dr. Subhagata Chattopadhyay joined as Faculty in theDepartment of Computer Science andEngineering. He has done his MBBS andPost-Graduate Diploma in Gynecology &Obstetrics from Calcutta Medical College,Kolkata, and practiced as a Medical Doctorfor a good stint of time. Further, Dr.Chattopadhyay completed M.Sc. in Bioinformatics fromSikkim Manipal University and did his Ph. D in InformationTechnology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),Kharagpur. He also pursued a prestigious postdoctoralfellowship in the University of New South Wales (UNSW),at first in its Singapore and then its Sydney campuses.Prior to joining NIST, Subhagata served the Dept. ofBiomedical Engineering at the Manipal Institute ofTechnology, Manipal University, Karnataka as a Reader.Data mining, Knowledge discovery, Knowledgemanagement, Artificial intelligence etc. remainSubhagata’s key research fields. He has published severalresearch papers in various international journals andconferences of repute. His biography has been selectedas a distinguished medical professional in Marquis Who’sWho (Medicine and Healthcare) in 2006-2007.Mr. Tryambaka Mahapatra joined as Faculty in the Dept.of Management Studies. He has done hisB. Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from G. M.College, and M. A. in English fromSambalpur University, Sambalpur. He is anMIBA, Dept. of Management Studies,Benaras Hindu University, MBA in Finance from LeedsUniversity Business School, Leeds University, andPGCRM, Paisley Business School, West of ScotlandUniversity. Mr. Mahapatra has worked as ManagementTrainee (Exports), Phoenix Overseas Ltd, Mumbai;Executive (International Marketing), Peerless Fabrikkerne(India) Limited, Mumbai; Executive (Sales), PearlEngineering Polymers Limited, Mumbai; Executive(imports and exports), Reliance Silicones Limited, NaviMumbai. His areas of Research Interest include SmallFirm Financing, Venture Capital, Business AngelInvestment.Mr. Mrutyunjaya Mangaraj joined as Faculty in the Dept.of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Hehas done his B. Tech. (Hons.) in ElectricalEngineering from Sanjay Memorial Instituteof Technology (SMIT), Berhampur and M.Tech. in Power System Engineering fromVeer Surendra Sai University & Technology (VSSUT),Burla. He has worked as a faculty member at PadmashreeKrutartha Acharya College of Engineering (PKACE),Bargarh and CV Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE),Bhubaneswar. His Research interest lies in the area ofPower System Optimization.Mr. Bishnukar Nayak joined as Faculty in the Dept. ofMathematics. He has done his B. Sc. inMathematics (Hons.) from Kabi SurjyaUpendra Bhanja College (KSUB),Bhanjanagar, Ganjam and M. Sc. inMathematics with ‘Fluid Dynamics andOrdinary Differential Equation’ as Specialization & M. Phil.with ‘Matrix Transformation’ as specialization, both fromBerhampur University, Berhampur. He has also done hisPost Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA)from Academy of Technocrats under Berhampur Universityand is pursuing his Ph. D under Berhampur University. Hehas received National Scholarship from BerhampurUniversity. Mr. Nayak has around 7 Years of teaching andadministrative experience as a Senior Lecturer at Academyof Technocrats, Berhampur and as a Guest Faculty in theDept. of Mathematics (Distance Mode) in BerhampurUniversity. His Research Interest lies in the areas ofRelativistic Cosmology.Mr. Kaushik Halder joined as Faculty in the Dept. ofElectronics & Instrumentation Engineering.He has done his B. Tech. in Electronics &Instrumentation Engineering from HaldiaInstitute of Technology, Haldia and M. University, Kolkata. His areas of Research Interest include,Design of Controllers, Design of Sensors.Ms. Rajlakshmi Nayak joined as Faculty in the Dept. ofMechanical Engineering. She has done herB. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering fromJITM, Paralakhemundi, and M. Tech. inThermal Engineering from National Instituteof Technology (NIT), Rourkela. She hasworked as a faculty member at JITM, Paralakhemundi.One of her Papers got published in an International Journalof Computational Materials Science and four papers inthe Proceedings of both International and NationalConference. Her areas of Research Interest include HeatTransfer, Cryogenics, Composite Materials and InsulationMaterial.Mr. Cherukuri Murthy joined as Faculty in the Dept. ofElectrical & Electronics Engineering. He hasdone his B. Tech. in EEE from MaharajViziaram Gajapathi Raj College ofEngineering (MVGR), Vizianagaram andM.E. also in EEE with Power Systems asSpecialization from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT),Mesra, Ranchi. He has worked as an Assistant Professorin the Dept. of EEE at Raghu Engineering College,Visakhapatnam. His Research Interest lies in the area ofDistribution System Reliability.Mr. Ranjan Kumar Padhy joined as Faculty in the Dept.of Chemistry. He has done his graduationfrom Sri Krushna Chandra Gajapati College(SKCG), Paralakhemundi and both M. Sc.and M. Phil. in Chemistry from BerhampurUniversity, Berhampur. He is Pursuing hisPh. D under Prof. S. D. Bhattamisra at BerhampurUniversity and has Published 3 of his papers in bothNational & International Journals. Mr. Padhy has altogether9 years of teaching experience as faculty member ininstitutes like RIT, Berhampur, JITM, Paralakhemundi, &GATE, Berhampur. His Research Interest lies in the areasof Reaction Dynamics, Reaction Study in SurfactantMedium & Metal Catalysed Reactions.Mr. Vikash Kumar Yadav joined as Software Engineerat the NIST Technology Consulting Services(NTCS). He has done his B. Sc. inMathematics (Hons.) from VijayanarayanMahavidyalaya, Hoogly, West Bengal andMCA from Academy of Technology, Hoogly,W.B. Mr. Yadav has received Scholarship for being thetopper in Mathematics Department in the college.Developing interactive & user friendly Software interestshim more. His areas of Research Interest lies in DBMS.Mr. Alock Kumar Singh joined as Software Engineer atNTCS. He has completed his B. Tech. inComputer Science & Engineering fromSiliguri Institute of Technology, Siliguri, WestBengal. He has obtained a GATE score in2010. His Research Interest lies in SoftwareEngineering and Database Management System.Mr. Mritunjay Kumar joined as Software Engineer atNTCS. He has done his BCA from IndiraGandhi National Open University (IGNOU),and MCA from Birla Institute of Technology(BIT), Mesra, Ranchi. He has worked in NathCorp. Pvt. Ltd., Ranchi as a SoftwareTrainee, and also at Xiphias Software Techonology, STPI,Ranchi. His Research Interests include DatabaseManagement & Security.Mr. Firoj Kumar Subudhi joined as Graphics Designerat NTCS. He has done his Graduation inPolitical Science (Hons.) from BerhampurUniversity and Post Graduation inMultimedia from Punjab TechnicalUniversity, Jalandhar. He is continuing hisMasters Degree in Political Science from KhallikoteAutonomous College, Berhampur.
