Please Note: Our <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> facilities have limited capacity. Apply<strong>in</strong>g for <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> does not guarantee that <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> will beassigned, or that the preferred <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> assignment can be offered. Apartments <strong>in</strong> Helen Werner ApartmentBuild<strong>in</strong>g and Kleist Manor are unfurnished. MTSO is a smoke-free environment. Smok<strong>in</strong>g is prohibited <strong>in</strong> all build<strong>in</strong>gs on the MTSO campus, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>gcampus <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> units. No pets are permitted on campus, except fish <strong>in</strong> a tank no larger than 10 gallons. Hous<strong>in</strong>g charges <strong>in</strong>clude all utilities, Time Warner cable television, waste removal, local telephone service, access tofree laundry facilities and dedicated high-speed <strong>in</strong>ternet service. (Phone cards or cell phones are needed to makelong distance telephone calls.) The Café at Dunn D<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g Hall is open from 10:30 AM-6 PM, Tuesday through Thursday. The number of on-campus <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> options for persons with physical disabilities is limited, but such requests willbe given every consideration. MTSO is a weapons free campus. Firearms of any k<strong>in</strong>d are not permitted on campus regardless of whether an<strong>in</strong>dividual has a permit to carry the firearm. MTSO does not <strong>in</strong>sure contents of any campus apartment or resident’s personal property. Campus residents areurged to obta<strong>in</strong> renter’s <strong>in</strong>surance for replacement value of your personal belong<strong>in</strong>gs. Water beds are not permitted <strong>in</strong> campus <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> units. Open flames are generally prohibited <strong>in</strong> all campus areas. All units are <strong>in</strong>dividually climate controlled. A Student Handbook with complete <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> rules and regulations will be provided once <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> is assigned.BUILDING INFORMATIONPlease mark an “X” <strong>in</strong> the Selection column next to the <strong>hous<strong>in</strong>g</strong> assignment you are request<strong>in</strong>g.Dewire Residence HallResidence hall rooms are appropriate for commut<strong>in</strong>g students. All Dewire Residence Hall rooms are s<strong>in</strong>gleoccupancy and are fully furnished. Full size beds, l<strong>in</strong>ens and towels are <strong>in</strong>cluded. Dur<strong>in</strong>g fall and spr<strong>in</strong>gsemesters, room charges are billed to your student account and payable at the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of each semester.Hous<strong>in</strong>g fees do not <strong>in</strong>clude break/read<strong>in</strong>g weeks. Helen Werner Apartment Build<strong>in</strong>g (HWAB)Helen Werner Apartment Build<strong>in</strong>g units are appropriate for s<strong>in</strong>gle liv<strong>in</strong>g. Apartment units are unfurnished.Couples or s<strong>in</strong>gle parents with dependent children on campus are not assigned to this build<strong>in</strong>g. Semesterrates are charged at the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of August and January. The months of January, June, July and August arenot part of semester rates and are charged separately at the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of those months.Selection Unit Efficiency ($1,960 per semester, $490 per month) One Bedroom ($2,280 per semester, $570 per month)HWAB Key and Damage Deposits: $175 damage + $25 key = $200 per unitHelen Werner Apartment rooms may also be used for nightly stays, as space is available, for $70 per night.Kleist Manor ApartmentsCouples and s<strong>in</strong>gle parents with dependent children who live with or frequently visit their parents receivepriority consideration for assignments <strong>in</strong> Kleist Manor Apartments. As space is available, a student withoutdependent children may rent a one-bedroom apartment, or two students may share a two-bedroom apartment.These apartments are unfurnished. Semester rates are charged at the beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g of August and January.
