This makes it possible to fight a game with the same ground scale and model scale.Alternatively, large actions may be refought using a ground scale of 1/12000 th or even 1/24000 th without impairing the visual aspect of thegame. At 1/24000 th , maximum effective gun range at Jutland (-18,000 yards) is represented by 27”.Major warships are supplied with a separate sculpted base; destroyers and smaller vessels are cast on the base. All bases incorporate a flattab at the stern on which you can write code/identification numbers, etc. The tabs can be removed if not required.CODINGPERIOD NATIONALITY SHIP TYPE1 = 1900 – WW I B – Great Britain K – Turkish/Greek 10’s – Pre-Deadnought 60’s – Small Cruiser2 = 1923 – WW II F – France L – Latin America 20’s – Dreadnought 70’s – Destroyer3 = 1946 – 1999 G – Germany R – Russia 30’s – Battlecruiser 90’s – IncompleteH – Austria-Hungary T – Italy 40’s – Aircraft Carrier M – MerchantJ – Japanese U – United States 50’s – Large Cruiser L – Liner/troopshipPRICING CODESA $4.50 E $9.50 J $17.50B $6.50 F $11.50 K $24.50C $7.50 G $13.50 LD $9.00 H $15.50Major warships are supplied in packs of 2-6 models, usually of the same class. There were to be two powerfulcommerce-raiding battle groups, one in the North and one in the South Atlantic. Each was to be based around3 x H-class battleships and an aircraft carrier. Escorts for each battle group included 3 x M-class light cruisers and 5 x Sp Scout cruisers, thelatter resembling very large destroyers. There were also to be conventional sized destroyers. All escort ships had unusually large range toallow for extended operations away from a friendly port. The 12 P-class Panzerschiffe (and their replacements, the OPQ-class battlecruisers)were to operate independently against commerce, in the manner of Graf Spee. The older ships, such as Bismarck, Scharnhorsts, Hippers &K-class cruisers were to be employed in home waters.We have used the German designation letters for the different warship types:H = Battleships M = Light Cruisers Z = DestroyersP = Pocket Battleships Sp = Scout Cruisers T = Torpedo BoatsBATTLESHIPSAIRCRAFT CARRIERS2G941 Gneisnau 6 x 15” x 2 (With heavier guns, as per original design) A 2G931 O, P & Q – 1939 x 3 (15” battlecruisers, replacing 4 x P-class) B2G911 H-1938 x 3 (The original “short citadel” H-class design) B 2G922 Graf Zeppelin x 2 (Nearly completed aircraft carrier) A2G921 H-1939 x 3 (Building commenced to this design in 1939) B 2G932 CVL: Weser, ex-De Grasse (Carriers converted from the cruiser A2G951 H-1940A x 2, H-1942 x 2 (The last realistic H-class designs) DSeydlitz & French Comte De Grasse, not completed)2G953 H-1943 x 1, H-1944 x 1 (Design studies of “monster” battleships) C 2G942 Elbe/Jade x 2, Europa (Mercantile conversions, not completed) B2G955 Grossflugzeugtrager AIII, AIV, AIIa (Design studies made on DPOCKET BATTLESHIPSHitler’s personal order, combining heavy guns and planes)2G913 P-1933(D&E) x 2, Seyditz 12 x 15cm (Original designfor Scharnhorst, treaty restricted)BDESTROYERS2G912 P-1938 x 2 (High speed “pocket battleship”) A 2G915 Z-1937j1 x 3, -37i x 3 (Early very long range destroyer designs) A2G923 P-1939 6 x 11” x 4 (Finalized design for P-class with 6 x 11” guns) C 2G917 Z-1938Ac x 3, -38B x 4 C2G924 P-1939 4 x 15” x 4 (As above, but with 15” guns) C 2G934 T-37 x 3, T-52 x 2, T-61 x 5 (Many of these Torpedo boats D2G933 P-1939 9 x 11” x 4 (3 turret P-class design, replaced by O,P & Q) Cnearly completed)2G925Z-46 x 3, Z-52 x 3 (Very long range escort destroyers forAtlantic battle groups)SMALL CRUISERS2G9X1 M Light Cruisers x 3 (Long range escorts for battle groups) A 2G927 Z-1945 x 8 C2G9X2 Sp Cruisers x 5 (Long range escorts for battle groups) BFRENCH NAVY, WW II2F01 French Navy – 2F21,22,23,24,41,51x2, $88.00 2F63 Galissoniere x 3 A61,62,63x2,64,71,72,73x2,74,75 2F64 Mogador x 2 A2F21 Courbet x 3 B 2F71 Guepard/Aigle x 6 B2F22 Bretagne x 2, Lorraine B 2F72 Fantasque x 6 B2F23 Dunkerque x 2 A 2F73 Bourrasque/L’Adroit x 6 B2F24 Richelieu x 2, Jean Bart B 2F74 Le Hardi x 6 B2F75 Chacal x 6 B2F41 Bearn, Commandante Teste A2F81 Surcouf, Besson 411 x 2, Jules Verne B2F51 Duquesne, Dupleix, Suffren B2F91 BBs – Clemenceau, Gascogne A2F61 Duguay-Trouain x 3 A 2F92 CVs – Joffre x 2 A2F62 Algerie, Emile Bertin, Jeanne D’Arc, BPlutonB
