Year 11-12 Boys FootballOn Tuesday 17th of May, the Year 11-12 Boys Football side ventured to Charles Mutton Reserve in Fawkner totake on the might of Fitzroy High in the preliminary round of competition. After a solid first half the boys wereleading5 - 7 - 37 to 0 - 0 - 0. They then continued on with another good half to run out the game victors 10 - 9 -69 to 0 - 1 - 1. Muhammed Khodr worked well in the forward line contributing 4 goals and good players for thegame included Omar Abdallah, Ben Anderson and Hassan Hamka. The final saw us matched up against Glenroy High in what was to be a tight tussle. After a sluggish first halfBrunswick were showing signs of fatigue and lack of teamwork which saw them trailing 2 - 2 - 14 to 3 - 2 - 20.In the second half they went back to the structures they had set in the first game and the team ethic becameprevalent again. A much improved second half saw Brunswick run out victors 7 - 6 - 48 to 3 - 3 - 21. An amazinglygood half from Mohamed Mohamud at centre half back set up the win with other good contributions fromMuhammed Khodr, Ben Anderson, Omar Abdallah, Dominic Dean-Spagnolo and Jed Attrill. The boys will nowcompete in the zone finals on June 21.Freddy Stringer,CoachAustralian Teachers of Dance Victorian Scholarships for Tap and JazzMy name is Gemma Russo and I am the mother of Harleigh-Rose and P.J.
