The child’s plate will be chickenfingers, fries, a selection <strong>of</strong> vegetables, cookie, and drink.As always, the banquet is one <strong>of</strong> our more popularevents with plenty <strong>of</strong> prizes and give-aways. This onewill be no exception! There will also be a silent auctionduring the evening, and auction items may be redeemedimmediately after the banquet. In addition, raffle ticketswill be sold throughout the Convention and winningtickets will be drawn and posted immediately after thebanquet.Get Acquainted PartyAt 5 p.m. on Thursday evening, July 26th, we willboard buses for a short trip to the new Lexington LegendsMinor League Baseball stadium. The Lexington Legendsare affiliated with the Houston Astros. This is a state-<strong>of</strong>the-artstadium that can be toured during the evening from5 to 7 p.m. The party will run from 6 to 9 p.m. with busservice to and from the Hyatt from 5 to 9:30 p.m.The menu for the evening consists <strong>of</strong> all-you-can-eatBBQ pulled pork, BBQ ribs, and BBQ chicken plus bakedbeans, potato salad, garden salad, and assorted dessertsplus Pepsi Cola products to drink. An open cash bar willalso be available. For adults staying at the Hyatt, the costswill be $14; adults not staying at the Hyatt, $20; andchildren (under the age <strong>of</strong> 12), $8. The Get AcquaintedParty requires a proper convention badge for admittanceand NO food or beverages will be permitted to be takenfrom this event. No food coolers or food containers willbe allowed. For you and your children, there will be abatting cage, base running, speed pitching, a carousel,and a play-ground to use.Special entertainment will be presented for yourenjoyment during the evening.LCCA Annual Membership MeetingThis event will be held on Friday, July 27th, at2 p.m.<strong>Lionel</strong> SeminarThis presentation by <strong>Lionel</strong> executives will be ahighlight <strong>of</strong> the Convention. The seminar will be heldfrom 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 27th. Get theinside info from <strong>Lionel</strong>!Public DisplaysThis promises to be one <strong>of</strong> the largest public displayareas we have ever had at a Convention with multiplelayouts on display. There will also be a scale steam enginefor kids to ride. In 1988 we saw over 10,000 public visitorscome through the display area. We expect even more thistime!
