Grant Application Process<br />
Copies of the Grant Application and guidelines can be found at the Foundation’s website at www.<br />
whitefishcommunityfoundation.org under Grants. Further information can be obtained by calling<br />
our office at (406) 863-1781.<br />
Each year the grants committee receives many grant applications which are closely examined. The<br />
process includes review of financial statements, site visits, and prioritizing the needs of the applicants.<br />
The funds are then allocated by considering the amount of funds available each year.<br />
The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in Flathead County, with preference given to<br />
those organizations whose work primarily serves the citizens of <strong>Whitefish</strong>. By law, grants may be<br />
made only to nonprofit organizations that are considered tax-exempt under the provisions of Section<br />
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or are a publicly-owned tax-exempt organization.<br />
