HIGH HOLY DAY SEAT
RESERVATIONS NOW DUE
Kehilath Jeshurun will once again be holding High Holy Day services in
four locations. In addition to the Main Synagogue, parallel services will be
conducted in the Heyman Auditorium and in the Gottesman Center’s Falk
Auditorium. The Beginner’s Service will again be held in the Lindenbaum
Recreation Center, located in the Gottesman Center.
High Holy Day seat reservation cards have already been sent to all
congregants. We ask you to please return the card with your requests as
soon as possible, whether or not you plan to be with us this year.

be held on Saturday and Sunday,
September 23 and 24th at 8:00 AM. Kol
Nidre services will be held at 6:00 PM
on Sunday night, October 1st followed
by Yom Kippur services at 9:00 AM the
next morning.

Our Crash Course in Hebrew Reading will have you identifying
letters and sounds and give you the basics in time for Rosh Hashanah.
Taught by master teacher Sara Rosen, this class is perfect for those
who have no background or as a review for those who wish to brush
up on their skills.

The author or editor of fourteen books on
various aspects of Jewish history in late
antiquity including The Jews of Talmudic
Babylonia (winner of the Holon Prize in
Jewish Studies), Prof. Gafni serves as
Director of Graduate Studies at the Rothberg
International School of the Hebrew
University. Prof. Gafni was honored in 1994
as the Louis Jacobs Fellow in Rabbinic
Thought at Oxford University and is the
recipient of Hebrew University’s Michael
Milken Prize for exceptional teaching.
