The Northeast Texas Chapter of the Texas Municipal Clerks had their last meeting
of 2007 at the Potpourri House in Tyler with nine members present. This was also
the annual Christmas party with a gift exchange, which is always a lot of fun.
The new officers were elected. They are: Donna Sickel, city secretary, Carthage,
serving another term as president, and Nina Browning, TRMC, city administrator,
Winnsboro, as secretary/treasurer.
The next meeting will be held in Gladewater on March 28. We want to wish each
and every chapter a great year! We also would like to welcome one of our own
East Texas gals as the TMCA President for 2008: Lila Fuller, TRMC, city secretary,
Nacogdoches. �

The chapter members met on December 5 at the Cottage Tea Room in
Wichita Falls. Everyone welcomed guests and new members Nita Hahns
and Linda Byers. Chapter members recognized retiree Pat Quisenberry,
TRMC, city secretary/personnel director, Vernon. Pat has been a valuable
asset to the Red River Chapter and the state TMCA organization, and she
will be greatly missed. Congratulations on retirement, Pat!
The Red River chapter congratulated Conchita Torrez, TRMC,
city secretary, Seymour, and Angie Scarlett, TRMC, city secretary,
Throckmorton, two members who received their Texas Registered
