Prior to his appointment inMaybank, he served in financial services consultingand advisory, where he was a partner with KPMGBusiness Advisory for the past 13 years, assistingnumerous financial institutions across the Asia Pacificmarkets. He has in-depth financial industry and riskmanagement expertise with a specialisation in Islamicfinance, business strategy, risk management andperformance management, which will be an asset tothe Maybank Group, in particular embeddinginternational standard risk practices across theMaybank Group.ResponsibilityDr. Lee is responsible for credit and risk managementacross the Group.QualificationBachelor of Economics, Monash University, Australia.Doctorate of Philosophy in Economics, MonashUniversity, Australia. Memberof the American Finance Association, EconometricsSociety and Society of Financial Studies.Committee Membership/AppointmentsDr. Lee was the Malaysian representative on the RiskManagement Working Group and is currently amember of the Liquidity Risk Management WorkingGroup of the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB).Geoffrey Stecyk – Age 41Head, Enterprise Transformation ServicesGeoff Stecyk is the Head of Enterprise TransformationServices (ETS) since 1 July 2010.ExperienceHe joined Maybank in November 2008 as ChiefTransformation Officer leading the LEAP30Performance Improvement Programme. Prior tojoining Maybank, he was National Head ofBancassurance with American International Assurance(AIA) China from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he wasExecutive Vice President, Business Integration withSouthern Bank Berhad from 2001 to 2004. He wasinvolved in the transformation of the bank whichcovered all major areas of the retail and SME bankingwith an emphasis on driving immediate earningsgrowth to fund the structural transformation over themedium term.ResponsibilityHe strategises, directs and drives the enterpriseoperations of the new House of Maybank havingcreated a platform comprising InformationTechnology, Operations and Service Quality thatsupports the Group’s Transformation and long-termstrategic objectives.QualificationBachelor of Commerce (Marketing/Finance), Universityof Alberta, Canada.Committee Membership/AppointmentsNil.
