By <strong>the</strong> endof that decade, having taken continuing education, she was teachingpottery classes for <strong>the</strong> City of <strong>Sask</strong>atoon. In 1994, she opened herown teaching studio, JT Pottery. <strong>Judy</strong> also conducts workshopsthroughout <strong>the</strong> province and in schools. She has an Applied Arts -Ceramics Diploma <strong>from</strong> SIAST, Woodland Campus.Since 1984, <strong>Judy</strong> has produced several lines of hand built and wheel thrown functional ware, as well as “one of akind” work, including Raku, salt, wood, and smoke fired pottery. Her work ismarketed through galleries, retail outlets, and craft shows. In 2001, <strong>Judy</strong> took aworkshop with Peter King in Florida, and began creating architectural ceramicscommissioned for homes and businesses.Active in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Sask</strong>atchewanCraft Council and <strong>Sask</strong> <strong>Terra</strong>,<strong>Judy</strong> has exhibited nationallyand internationally. She is <strong>the</strong>recipient of several awardsand her work can be seen in“The Ceramic Spectrum 2ndEdition” by Robin Hopper and“500 Teapots: ContemporaryExplorations of TimelessDesign” by Kathy Triplett.Photo: AK Photos
