TheCan Drive f inished and it was incrediblysuccessful, with the entire Meadowridgecommunity raising over 2620 pounds offood and over $700 cash.All the donations went to the localFriends in Need Food Bank, and with thiscold winter beginning to set in, they werevery thankful.The f inal point standings for the candrive were Alouette with 1005 points,Whonnock with 1128 points, Kanaka with1138 points, and Fraser wining with 2501points! Congratulations Fraser!The annual Halloween costume contestand the Kiss the Monster event had theMeadowridge community really gettinginto the Halloween spirit a couple weeksago. With a variety of ghouls and goblinswalking throughout the halls, there weresome fantastic costumes and severalwinners for a variety of categoriesincluding scariest and best teacher!This year’s BYOB3 (Bring Your Own BigBanana and Bowl) saw many studentspar ticipating with enthusiasm! Forbringing in a BIG banana, reusable bowland spoon, students were able to enjoya delicious ice-cream sundae on a Fridayafternoon. There were some very bigbananas!UPCOMING EVENTSThe Autumn Har vest dinner is rapidlyapproaching! Seniors from a varietyof seniors homes in Maple Ridge willcome to Meadowridge for an evening offantastic food, per formances and muchmore!Students have been preparing for a whilenow, from organizing the per formersto getting the decorations ready. Theseniors are sure to have a wonder fultime!The f inal house point standings are asfollows: Fraser is f irst with 6295 points,Alouette is second with 6197, followedby Kanaka with 6128, then Whonnockwith 5548.
