sweeps, and undercover operations.

Sacramento’s Thirty under 30 for 2007
by the Observer Newspaper, which
annually recognizes 30 young men
and women under the age of 30 who

environments.

Germanelo is a project manager
with Johnson & Johnson ALZA
Corporation. Living in Monterey, CA,
she serves as public relations officer
and social activities director for the
Filipino-American Community Club
of the Monterey Peninsula, and is
an active member of the Project
Management Institute (PMI) and the
local PMI-Monterey Bay Chapter.

cherYL (Parrett) GLaISer. B.S.
Health and Safety, Sacramento State
1985. Earning her certification as a
Nuclear Medicine Technologist at
Sutter Memorial Hospital, Glaiser took
a position at Alta Bates Medical Center
where she worked for 10 years. During
her tenure there, she also became
certified in bone density. Presently
a stay-at-home mom, Glaiser says
that she is applying her education to
caring for one of her children who was
diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. She
plans to return to school to earn her
advanced degree and teach. Glaiser
would be happy to talk to any student
interested in nuclear medicine as a

Nursing
2000–present
nIcK aLLen. R.N., B.S.N., Sacramento
State 2004. Working in the pediatrics
unit of UC Davis Medical Center for
the past two years, Allen has had the
opportunity to mentor students from
Sac State’s nursing program. Allen
hopes to someday work at the
Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at
Stanford University Hospital. Living in
downtown Sacramento, he spends
his free time coaching basketball at
his former grade school, St. Ignatius.

Baker, former owner of Chicken-
SoupPlus, currently does cosmetic
procedures in addition to being an
artist who works in metal sculptures.
Currently living in Maui, Hawaii, she
travels frequently to Sacramento.
DeBra BraDY. B.S.N., Sacramento
State 1990; M.S.N., Sacramento State
1996. Brady worked for Catholic
Healthcare West after earning her
nursing degree, eventually heading
their regional bio-ethics project on
end-of-life care. She began teaching
part time at Sac State in 2002 and was
hired full time in 2003. Her teaching
focus is advanced medical surgical
nursing. She is working
on her doctorate
through the Case Western
Reserve University.

JUne InUzUKa. B.S.N.,
Sacramento State 1978.
After working as a nurse
for 5 years, Inuzuka
earned her J.D. from the
University of Maryland
Law School. She
worked for the Maryland
Attorney General, and
then did a fellowship
in women’s rights in
Washington, D.C. Moving
to Denver, CO, she stayed home
raising her three children. In 2005,
she obtained her real estate license
and has been involved in real estate
investment and property management.
Currently she is also training to
work in immigration law. Her hobby
is documentary filmmaking which
she is studying at the Colorado Film

University 1980. Garcia, a Social Work
professor at Syracuse University in
New York, has been appointed director
of the School of Social Work. He
has also been selected Outstanding
Teacher of the Year by the Syracuse
University Alumni Association and
was appointed to chair AARP’s
National Policy Council, the major
body responsible for creating AARP’s
Policy Book. n
