Information for Parents/Carers St Patrick's R C Primary School 2014-15BUILDINGSt Patrick’s Primary School is situated at the north end of Lochgelly on Station Road, whichlinks Lochgelly to the Benarty area. The original building was opened on the 30 November1903 and soon afterwards a further extension including 2 first floor rooms was added tofacilitate the growing numbers of pupils. During 1991/92 the falling school roll allowedrenovations to take place which changed 2 ground floor classrooms into a kitchen and smalldining room. Since then however, school numbers steadily increased to a point where theschool was sitting at almost maximum capacity with no spare classrooms or breakout space.In July 2010 a purpose built PE hall and an additional classroom was added to meet ourrising roll. This facility allows us to not only promote PE, health and wellbeing, but also toshowcase the talents of the pupils in our school, through concerts, shows and assemblies.The school playground has also been resurfaced and outdoor play facilities have beenerrected which include soft pour bases.Please note that for health and safety reasons no pedestrian access is allowed through thecar park entrance.6
