Page 5 <strong>Bulletin</strong> <strong>Board</strong> <strong>Newsletter</strong> January 15, 20112014 National SpecialtyTime to Plan <strong>the</strong> 2014 National Specialty Show -- The National Specialty Oversight Committee (NSOC) isrequesting proposals from affiliate clubs or current BCOA member groups to host <strong>the</strong> 2014 national specialty show.Like this year, <strong>the</strong> 2014 specialty will be in <strong>the</strong> Central Region that covers <strong>the</strong>se states: AR, IA, IL, KS, LA, MS,MN, MO, ND, NE, OK, SD, TX, WIThose wanting assistance in planning and developing a proposal should contact <strong>the</strong> members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> NSOC who areexperienced basenji people willing to share <strong>the</strong>ir expertise in hosting this event. When considering <strong>the</strong> proposal,view <strong>the</strong> BCOA National Specialty Procedures at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Club</strong>’s website on <strong>the</strong> members page. Submit <strong>the</strong> proposedplan on <strong>the</strong> Specialty Site Proposal form. The afghancould be used as a fundraiser or as a prize for a club’s Specialty or it could be a gift for a loved one or oneself.The individual or local club or group <strong>of</strong> individuals who scans <strong>the</strong> most pages will select from one <strong>of</strong> 4 patterns providedby Donna and will choose <strong>the</strong> color(s) for a personalized afghan.Anyone who participates in this most worthy endeavor will be acknowledged in <strong>the</strong> club publications. In addition,his/her name will be entered in a random drawing for one <strong>of</strong> several afghans. This drawing will be held at <strong>the</strong> 2011Annual Meeting, at which time <strong>the</strong> winner <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> MPS (Most Productive Scanner) Award will be announced!
