The transporter may refuse to pick up the milk if potholes andruts exist and/or the lane appears unsafe.In winter, that portion <strong>of</strong> the yard and the lane through which the milk truck travels must be clear <strong>of</strong> snowwhen the milk is scheduled to be picked up. The yard and lane must also be clearly marked with poles andreflecting markers. The lane surface must be kept clear <strong>of</strong> ice through the use <strong>of</strong> salt and/or sand.Quota and Milk Transportation Policies 37 July 1, 2010
