It is a joint supplement containing glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, N Acetyl D<br />

Glucosamine, Ascorbic Acid, and zinc sulphate. It comes as sprinkle capsules and tasty tablets<br />

for dogs, sprinkle capsules for cats, and tablets for growing dogs.<br />

What is it used for?<br />

It is used to help maintain healthy joint function. It is frequently used in dogs and cats<br />

suffering with arthritis (osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease). It can be used longterm to<br />

help eleviate symptoms such as stiff, painful joints, reduced mobility, and willingness to<br />

exercise.<br />

How should I administer synoquin?<br />

It is best given with food. The sprinkle capsules are designed to be opened and mixed into<br />

food. The tablets can be mixed with food or given directly into the mouth but preferably at<br />

meal times<br />

Can I give it in conjunction with other arthritis treatments such as metacam, rimadyl and<br />

previcox<br />

It can safely be given in conjunction with prescription arthritis treatments (e.g. metacam,<br />

meloxidyl, loxicom, flexicam, rimadyl, carprieve, previcox, plt, onsior, tocoxil) . In fact is<br />

beneficial to use synoquin in these circumstances since it may reduce the dosage of these<br />

drugs required to control symptoms.<br />

Are there any side effects?<br />

As far as is known or anticipated there are no known side effects or adverse effects from<br />

treating a dog or cat with synoquin. It is made with natural ingredients.<br />

How long will it take before I see an improvement?<br />

You should administer for at least 6 weeks before you should expect to see an improvement<br />

and if you do not you should consult your vet. The effects of synoquin may not be as dramatic<br />

as would occur with some other prescription arthritis treatments. <strong>Synoquin</strong> is very much<br />

intended for longterm use and is designed as much to reduce ongoing deterioration of<br />

arthritis.<br />
