The Minicom Cat5 Video Display System (VDS) broadcasts high resolution video (and<br />
optional audio) over Cat5 cable to multiple display stations in real time. The VDS is<br />
also a powerful presentation tool in computer classrooms and training environments and<br />
a great alternative to expensive projectors. In the classroom, the VDS can perform two<br />
important training functions with a simple 2-button controller: send a teacher’s screen to<br />
all remote monitors or darken all remote monitors to gain the undivided attention of the<br />
students. The system uses inexpensive Cat5 cable and enables you to place the remote<br />
display stations up to 110m/360ft away from the source. Since the Cat5 VDS is a pure<br />
hardware solution, it provides real time screen transfer without loss of screen quality.<br />
The VDS consists of the following components:<br />
• Broadcaster 8-port and compact control unit kit<br />
• Micro-sized remote dongle for every remote monitor;<br />
dual display remote dongle supports (2) monitors<br />

The DS Vision packs a 3-in-1 punch – audio and video broadcasting and serial<br />
management of channels all in one box. Broadcast high definition video at 1080p.<br />
And a DDC protocol optimizes player-screen interaction for the best visual experience.<br />
Multiply the number of screens carrying the message without adding additional<br />
players. Instead of multiple players with their own software, you get the capability<br />
to transmit your message from a single player to up to hundreds of screens. And in<br />
turn, lower your software and content licensing, eliminate unnecessary hardware and<br />
simplify maintenance by servicing a single player instead of dozens. DS Vision 3000<br />
is the only system in the market to include fully bidirectional RS232 communication, to<br />
send a command but also query the screen and get a response. Remotely view screen<br />
status instead of walking from screen to screen, remotely turn screens on/off, remotely<br />
monitor screen operation time to prevent overheating and double/triple screen life,<br />
and remotely increase volume, brightness. Connect and extend serial devices such<br />

The Cat5 RS232 Extender from <strong>Cables</strong> <strong>To</strong> <strong>Go</strong> is a hardware-based solution providing<br />
remote access and control of any RS232 protocol device. With regular RS232 devices<br />
you are limited to an immediate area of control. The Cat5 RS232 Extender extends<br />
control to 1000m/3300ft. Now you can place RS232 devices in any location<br />
you want and control them remotely. The RS232 Extender also provides full duplex<br />
transmission and is compatible with all RS232 protocols. Installing the extender is quick<br />
and easy. Thanks to its simple architecture all you do is plug-and-play! The system is<br />
composed of two units, one local unit and one remote unit, both contained within<br />
a sturdy metal casing. The two units are connected via standard Cat5 cable that<br />
eliminates cable clutter. A single power supply is used to power the system and it can<br />
be placed at either end depending on where it is most convenient.<br />
