These will be explained to camperson arrival.FeedbackYour feedback about your camp experience is very important to us.We value any comments you have that will help improve the campexperience for teachers and students alike. Following your visit youwill receive an electronic survey to complete.The responsibility and discipline of students is shared jointlybetween Centre staff, teachers and supervising adults. As primarycare givers, you will be consulted on all disciplinary actions, as youknow each student’s history and can decide the most appropriatecourse of action.We don’t recommend removing students from a session as a formof punishment. Instead, we recommend asking them to stand asidefor five minutes to think about the effect of their behaviour. In ourexperience, taking away free time and allocating appropriate tasksare more effective disciplinary actions.Students whose behaviour causes distress or danger to themselvesor others may be excluded from some activities and their parentsmay be informed. Extreme or persistently negative behaviour willresult in the student being sent home.If you are bringing students with severe emotional or behaviouralproblems, please advise Centre staff at least two weeks beforecamp so we can make appropriate arrangements.| 8 |
