Valid for instructors.Synopsis: This combination course will challenge you andsignificantly advance your skill level with both the pistol and thepatrol rifle. Participants of this course come away amazed withtheir abilities after only three days. This is also a tremendousopportunity for the firearms instructor to temporarily relinquishtheir teaching duties and re-sharpen their own skill set with drills,exercises, and scenarios. Training is presented in a buildingblock approach in order to accommodate a variety of learningstyles. This program is challenging and participants should be ingood physical condition. Days will run longer than 8 hours.Live-fire topics include:· Fundamentals Review· Immediate Action & Failure Drills· Loading, Unloading, Reloading· Turning Movements· One Handed Shooting· Support Side Shooting· Contact and Cover· Working with a Partner· Transitioning Weapons· Shooting On The Move· Multiple Threat Engagements· Use of Cover· Changing the Shooting Platform· Fighting in Low Light· Target Discrimination: Shoot/No Shoot· Close Quarters Battle & GroundfightingRegarding Our Training Philosophy and PracticesOur training staff is composed of professional andexperienced coaches and we are students ourselves.We believe in treating everyone respectfully and as adultlearners. Our coaches participate in the learning processand we use a building block approach to solidify skillsbefore moving toward more advanced concepts.We do not believe in "check the box" training nor do webelieve in "lowest common denominator" training.Individual assistance is always available.Those who are not safe and conscientious with theirfirearms, those who are not willing to be open-minded,receive new information and try new concepts, and those who are not capable of keeping theirego in check should not enroll in our programs.
Prerequisites and Physical Requirements for Firearms Training1. An operator should be able to load, unload, and reload their firearm in a SAFE and CONTROLLED manner.Muzzle discipline and awareness is paramount.2. An operator must possess the physical strength and stamina to repetitively function and fire their weaponduring prolonged drilling. You must be able to get up and down from standing, kneeling, and prone positions,as well as move forward, backward, and laterally.3. An operator must be able to maintain mental, physical, and emotional self-discipline and not becomeover-excited or lose control.4. An operator must have a keen awareness and consideration for other operators while handling firearms andconducting drills in close proximity of other operators.5.
