The new found status of the institutein its University form shall help it run various courses includingBachelor of Pharmacy in <strong>Ayurved</strong>a, Bachelor and Diploma courses inNursing (<strong>Ayurved</strong>a) are main among them besides many diploma levelcourses related with <strong>Ayurved</strong>a. The present Project Proposal relates withdetailed structure of Bachelor in Pharmacy (<strong>Ayurved</strong>a)The course has to be planned in such a manner thatpersonnel completing it should be capable of meeting differentrequirements of both manufacturing and consuming sector for<strong>Ayurved</strong>ic drugs. For manufacturing sector he should be in a position totake care of drug selection, standardization, quality control andmanufacturing requirements. For consuming sector he should be aqualified person for drug dispensing and related activities.Since they are expected to provide service of Internationalstandards. It is imperative that they should have sound knowledge ofboth <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic and modern drug manufacturing techniques.The main aim of this course is neither to producegraduates who can be <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic physician nor experts formanufacturing allopathic drugs but to produce high quality technologistswho have capacity of producing high quality. <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic drugs byemploying traditional, modern or upgraded or modified traditionaltechniques and also to control and maintain their quality.

As soon as the PharmacyCollege develops fully the additional equipment and machinery will beprocured accordingly. RESOURCE GENERATION1. Fee and FundsVarious Fees to be deposited by the students annually shall bethe major head of resource mobilization of the instruments. Following Feestructure is recommended to make the institution partially financially selfsufficient.Fee Structure Per Annum Chargeable per student:1. Tuition Fee -- 15000/-2. Practical Fee -- 4000/-3. Hostel Fee Structure shall be same as is applicable for BAMSCourse from time to time.CONTRIBUTION OF STATE GOVERNMENTThe Government <strong>Himachal</strong> <strong>Pradesh</strong> will contribute for establishmentof <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic Pharmacist College at Paprola in shape of existing infrastructure(Hospitals, Labs, Land etc.) and man power at Government <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic CollegeCampus at Paprola.Other Components of B. Pharmacy College1. Medicinal Plant garden and Dravyaguna Museum.The proposed pharmacy college in <strong>Ayurved</strong>a shall require amedicinal plant garden of its own containing most of theimportant medicinal plants so as to facilitate the students to havefirst hand knowledge of their characteristic features which willhelp them in identifying the raw. However, since it will requireprovision for additional land and funds, in the initial stages themedicinal plant garden attached to the G.P.G. <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic Collegemay be utilized for the purpose.2. Pharmacy:Government <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic Pharmacy situated in Campus shallbe utilized for Practical and Work experience of the students ofB.Pharma (Ayu). Similarly the Ras Shastra Museum shall beutilized for giving practical demonstration of Pharmacy rawproducts concerning Ras-Shastra to students. Besides this theDrug Manufacturing Units of State namely Government<strong>Ayurved</strong>ic Pharmacy Joginder Nagar and Majra can also beaffiliated with institution for Practical training and workexperience of students. For Practical Training, students can alsobe sent to Private <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic Pharmacies located in <strong>Himachal</strong><strong>Pradesh</strong>.


3. Quality Control LaboratoryFor the purpose of training in quality control and drugtesting the services of Government Drug Testing Laboratory atJoginder Nagar will be availed. However, in up-comingLaboratories of Government <strong>Ayurved</strong>ic Pharmacy, Paprola, thefacilities of various Sections of quality control Lab are beingestablished very soon.3.
