Proof of Address Guidelines – last updated on 21 Dec 2012List of acceptable address proof:1. Utility Bill ( gas, electricity , water,landline telephone connection, RateInvoice3. An entry in a local telephonedirectory5. A current driving licence withphotograph2. A certified copy of a mobile phone or pay TVstatement issued by Hong Kong providers( sent to the address of the customer)4. An extract from the official register of electors6. MPF statement of other governmentproduced document showing benefitentitlements(http://www.mpfa.org.hk/english/reg_use/reg_use_amt/reg_use_amt.asp)7. A tax assessment document 8. An account statement from a bankNote: Statements of credit cards and nonbankcards, such as store cards are notacceptable.9. A proof of ownership of theresidential address10. A certified copy of a tenancy agreement for aHong Kong resident that has been stampedby the Inland Revenue11. Proof of payment for a PO Boxservice ( which much show theresidential address), where the POBox shown is also thecorrespondence address of theapplicant13. A letter from the employer of theapplicant confirming the applicant’sposition within the company and theirresidential address. Where theapplicant has accompanied a partneror spouse on a work assignment orcontract, and they are also anapplicant, an employer may confirmthe address of a nonemployee wherea relationship is detailed. Thecompany name must match the oneprovided in the application12. A mortgage Statement14. A letter from a bank, which is resident andregulated in a FATF jurisdiction with whomthe applicant has an account, which confirmsthe current residential address of theindividualReminder: All proof of address documents must be issued within the last 3 monthsfrom the submission of the relevant application.

15. A letter from an officer orrepresentative of a Hong Kongresidential home, care or nursingfacility confirming that such addressis the current residential address ofthe applicant17. A recent correspondence from aGovernment department or agency16. A utility bill sent to a PO Box or 'care of'address which references the residentialaddress of the individual18. A current Hong Kong domestic helperemployment contract that has been stampedby the appropriate consulate given that theemployer’s name in the applicationcorresponds with the visa endorsement in thepassportReminder: All proof of address documents must be issued within the last 3 monthsfrom the submission of the relevant application.
