But theirvolunteer support is surely what makes thisnot-for-profit organisation second to none.Take the <strong>Roxby</strong> Downs Auxiliary of the <strong>Royal</strong><strong>Flying</strong> Doctor Service who raised $40,000 attheir recent <strong>Golf</strong> <strong>Day</strong> & Giant Auction. Withdonations and proceeds coming from local andnot-so-local suppliers, two truck loads ofitems were on offer. The festivities of the day included novelty holes with bendable golf sticks, whichwere very amusing and a wonderful array of food, drinks and desserts were provided. The day endedwith a spectacular fireworks display, all in all it was a fantastic family day out.<strong>Roxby</strong> Downs Auxiliary President Marie McCormack and members were thrilled with the auxiliaryfundraising, passing an impressive $100,000 for the year –WOW.The <strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Flying</strong> Doctor Service has dedicated volunteers who assist the organisation year after yearand we congratulate them for their outstanding efforts.Australian Lacrosse Team Success in UKAs a nation we are proud of our sporting accomplishments and the Australian Mens Lacrosse Team hascome through with a major achievement at the recent World Lacrosse Championships held in Manchester.The Aussie team beat Japan convincingly to win the Bronze Medal and they all certainly looked like a“Champion Team” in our bottle blazers embroidered with the Australian Coat of Arms.We were thrilled when approached to provide the team blazers and look forward to hearing more excitingnews from this World Class Team in the future.Haigh’s Winners In Sydney <strong>Royal</strong> Show 2010<strong>Marino</strong> <strong>Uniforms</strong> is SouthAustralian Owned andOperatedThis year at the <strong>Royal</strong> Sydney Show, Haigh’s was honoured to be awarded MostSuccessful Chocolate Exhibitor, with four gold medals. The Haigh’s range winnerswere the 70% Dark Chocolate, Premium Dark Chocolate, Dark ChocolateGinger and Macadamia Crunch Bar-all won gold in their categories. It’s a greatachievement for the entire Haigh’s Team. Well done to all.


PAGE 2Who We Admire - SA Wheelchair SportsMURDERBALL, AN INSPIRATIONAL GAME LIKE NO OTHERIt’s known as the toughest game in the world with the toughest players in the world, and the WheelchairSports Association of South Australia hosts Murderball matches between the “SA Sharks” andinterstate rivals throughout the year. You certainly can see where this game gets it’s reputation !<strong>At</strong> a recent match between the SA Sharks and the Jetset Gold Coast Wheelchair Rugby Titans, playersin their reinforced steel chairs ferociously and sometimes violently, pounded the ball from one end ofthe stadium to the other—this is not a game for the faint hearted.Wheelchair Sport was originally introduced to SA in the 1950’s.Since then the Wheelchair Sports Association of South Australiaevolved and has continued to be an important part of rehabilitation,development, sporting, recreation and social programs forplayers who have a physical disability through accident, trauma,illness or a congenital birth defect.The association aims to assist members and players in achievinggoals, no matter how big or small they seem. We admire this associationand their inspirational work with people of all ages who havedisabilities. For more information please phone 8234 1533.Adelaide Showground Triumphs AgainThe <strong>Royal</strong> Show is surely on every South Australian calendar, Adelaide is abuzz during the show weeks. Butspare a thought for the people who work tirelessly to put together the programs and scheduling each and everyyear.The calendar of events for the Show is endless—from farm livestock, wood chopping, concerts, show rides, judgingand crowd control, the list is endless. The workload leading up to the show must be enormous and this yearagain will be no different for our customers at the Adelaide Showground who put together this wonderful communityevent for everyone to enjoy.John Rothwell, CEO (pictured left) believes this will be another bumper year with approximately 500,000 peopleexpected to come through the gates. “Planning throughout the year is on-going and crucial to ensure everythingis ready for September and at this time of year it’s difficult to see our own families” John said. When we visitedJohn in the weeks leading up to the show, the grounds were already swelling with trucks, hi-vis workersand show mechanics. The office was an absolute hive of activity !
