BIOGRAPHIESDALLASWINMARWriterDallas is a Western Australian writerwho first worked with Company Bin 2001 on the staging of her playAliwa. This play was first showcasedin Perth by Yirra Yaakin Noongar<strong>Theatre</strong> and was developed at theNational Playwright’s Conferencein 1999 and 2000. She was thencommissioned by Kooemba Jdarra<strong>Theatre</strong> Company to write Skin Deepfor their 2000 program. <strong>Yibiyung</strong>is her third play, with which sheattended the Australian NationalPlaywright’s Conference in 2006 andthe PlayWriting Australia NationalScript Workshop in 2007. Dallaswas jointly awarded the Kate ChallisRAKA Award in 2002 for Aliwa(alongside Jane Harrison for <strong>St</strong>olen).Aliwa was also short-listed forthe script category of the WesternAustralian Premier’s Book Awards,nominated for commendation forThe Louis Esson Prize for Drama:Shortlist 2003 and has beenpublished by Currency Press.WESLEY ENOCHDirectorWesley is the eldest son of Dougand Lyn Enoch, who hail from<strong>St</strong>radbroke Island. He is currentlyan Associate Artist at Company Bwhere his directing credits includePaul, Parramatta Girls, Capricornia,The Dreamers and Conversationswith the Dead. Other credits includeThe Sapphires (Melbourne <strong>Theatre</strong>Company) which was remounted forCompany B and Sydney Festival 2005;Black Medea (Company B/MalthouseMelbourne); <strong>St</strong>olen (Playbox <strong>Theatre</strong>Company) which has toured bothnationally and internationally;Maralinga (Alphaville Productions);Riverland (Windmill Performing Arts/Adelaide and Perth InternationalFestivals); Eora Crossing (Legs onthe Wall/Sydney Festival 2003);Purple Dreams, Bitin’ Back (KooembaJdarra Indigenous Performing Arts);Shrunken Iris, Rainbow’s End (IlbijerriAboriginal and Torres <strong>St</strong>rait Islanders<strong>Theatre</strong> Cooperative) as well asHeadhunter (Ilbijerri/Polygot Puppet<strong>Theatre</strong>). While Resident Directorwith Sydney <strong>Theatre</strong> Company hisproductions included Black Medea,The Sunshine Club, Black-ed Up andThe Cherry Pickers, which also touredthe UK. In 2002, Sydney <strong>Theatre</strong>Company remounted The 7 <strong>St</strong>agesof Grieving, which he co-wrote withDeborah Mailman. Recently, Wesleywas Artistic Director of Australia’sdelegation to the 2008 Festival ofPacific Arts in American Samoa.He has also been Artistic Directorof Kooemba Jdarra IndigenousPerforming Arts and Ilbijerri Aboriginaland Torres <strong>St</strong>rait Islander <strong>Theatre</strong>Cooperative, an Associate Artist withthe Queensland <strong>Theatre</strong> Company,Director of the Indigenous Section ofthe Opening Ceremony of the 2006Commonwealth Games, is currentlya Trustee of the Sydney Opera Houseand is also a member of the NSWGovernment Arts Advisory Counciland numerous other committees. Hiswriting credits include The <strong>St</strong>ory ofthe Miracles at Cookie’s Table, The 7<strong>St</strong>ages of Grieving, Grace, A Life ofGrace and Piety, The Sunshine Cluband Black Medea. Wesley was thewinner of the 2005 Patrick WhitePlaywright’s Award for his play The<strong>St</strong>ory of the Miracles at Cookie’s Table,staged by Griffin <strong>Theatre</strong> Company/HotHouse <strong>Theatre</strong> in 2007. He wasalso awarded the 2007 QPAC MatildaAward in recognition of his services tothe arts.REBECCAANDERSON<strong>St</strong>age ManagerRebecca has worked in stagemanagement and productioncoordination since graduating fromthe Centre for the PerformingArts in 1994. Her previousproductions with Company Binclude The Small Poppies, TwelfthNight and The Laramie Project.Among her other theatre creditsare Urfaust (Performing Lines);The Cost of Living (DV8 Physical<strong>Theatre</strong>); Twinkle, Twinkle LittleFish (Windmill Performing Arts)and numerous Womadelaidegigs. Rebecca has also workedextensively with the <strong>St</strong>ate <strong>Theatre</strong>Company of South Australia,worked in production on the 1996,1998, 2006 and 2008 AdelaideArts Festivals and was the SiteCoordinator at Becks Festival Bar(Sydney Festival 2005).
