Remember to talk with yourchild each day about what they learn. Agood way to start this conversation mightbe, " Tell me what you learned in readingtoday." Engage your child in the discussionby saying something like, "Tell me more."This will not only help you find out what isbeing learned, the act of telling or retellinghelps with thinking, organizing and processingskills which are important in all subjects.Encourage reading road signs and billboards as you travel. This is just anotherway to get in a little extra reading time andit is a great way for children to develop newvocabulary.Happy Reading Aquadale!Jennifer Phillips, Literacy Specialist
