TERMS AND CONDITIONSBadg esBy purchasing badges to the Royal Enclosure you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of entry (see www.ascot.co.uk forfull details).In addition the following rules apply specifically to Royal Enclosure badgeholders.(1) Badges are strictly non-transferable and shall not be purchased or otherwise obtained from or through anyperson, commercial agent or otherwise than directly by the Royal Enclosure applicant from the Royal Enclosure office.Badges must not be given, sold or advertised for sale by any means.(2) Badges may only be worn and used by the person named on the badge.(3) If badges are being collected from the Royal Enclosure enquiry office, it will be necessary to show proof ofidentity and a signature will be required.(4) Full refunds and exchanges will be given on daily badges purchased, provided that the request for the refund isreceived in writing, at the Royal Enclosure office by 5th April 2013. No refunds or exchanges will be made after5th April 2013, unless in accordance with <strong>Ascot</strong>’s abandonment policy as set out in the Ticketing Terms.(5) Badges are issued subject to availability.(6) LadiesLadies are kindly reminded that formal day wear is a requirement in the Royal Enclosure, defined as follows:• Dresses and skirts should be of modest length defined as falling just above the knee or longer• Dresses and tops should have straps of one inch or greater• Jackets and pashminas may be worn but dresses and tops underneath should still comply with the Royal Enclosure dresscode• Trouser suits are welcome. They should be of full length and of matching material and colour• Hats should be worn; a headpiece which has a base of 4 inches (10cm) or more in diameter is acceptable as an alternativeto a hat.Ladies are kindly asked to note the following:• Strapless, off the shoulder, halter neck, spaghetti straps and dresses with a strap of less than one inch (2.5cm) are notpermitted• Midriffs must be covered• Fascinators are no longer permitted in the Royal Enclosure; neither are headpieces which do not have a base covering asufficient area of the head (4 inches / 10cm).GentlemenGentlemen are kindly reminded that it is a requirement to wear either black or grey morning dress which must include:• A waistcoat and tie (no cravats)• A black or grey top hat• Black shoesA gentleman may remove his top hat within a restaurant, a private box, a private club or that facility’s terrace, balcony orgarden. Hats may also be removed within any enclosed external seating area within the Royal Enclosure Garden.The customisation of top hats (with, for example, coloured ribbons or bands) is not permitted in the Royal Enclosure.Children (admitted on Friday and Saturday only)Girls (aged 10-16) should be dress for a formal occasion. Smart summer dresses are suggested. Hats, headpieces or afascinator may be worn but are not compulsory.Boys (aged 10-16) should either dress in accordance with the gentlemen’s dress code (as set out above); or alternatively weara dark-coloured lounge suit with a shirt and tie (whereupon no hat is required).Overseas VisitorsOverseas visitors are welcome to wear the formal National Dress of their country or Service Dress.Serving Military PersonnelServing military personnel are welcome to wear Service Dress or equivalent.(7) Picnics are enjoyed in the Car Parks; we regret it is not possible to provide additional space for gazebos or awnings. Anygazebos and awnings erected within your car parking space must be taken down before racing commences. Picnics may notbe brought into the racecourse.(8) Those not complying with these terms will be ejected or refused entry to the Royal Enclosure and/or <strong>Ascot</strong> <strong>Racecourse</strong> andmay not be entitled to apply for badges for future meetings. In the event of any discrepancy between these terms and theTicketing Terms, these terms will apply.
