Product focus – VMS2A revolutionary vacuum barrier line which opens up new possibilitiesin composite structural design. VMS2 reduces the risk of dry spots orincomplete wet out by drawing air and volatiles from the laminate,without drawing any resin into the vacuum line. The infusion networkcan be simplified, with a significant reduction in the number of vacuumconnectors required. VMS2 reduces the risk of rework and eliminatesresin waste, as well as optimising process control and part quality.Vacuum breach units and wide sealant tape to close the ends of thelines are also available, and VMS2 can be customised or supplied in kitform for specific applications.Release filmUmeco’s release film products have beenspecially formulated to suit a variety of individualcomposite process applications. Whilst exhibiting excellent tack and high elongation,extensive testing against industry standard brands has shown UCS180 requires significantlyless force to strip away from various tooling surfaces over a range of different cure/heat cycles(particularly beneficial following high temperature and pressure oven and autoclave cures).With easy release characteristics, UCS180 also leaves significantly less residue on wellused tooling surfaces, extending the timeframe before operators need to perform cleaningand tooling maintenance.
