The Corian ® skin for architectureDuPont Corian ® combines aesthetics with high performance,which makes it an ideal choice for panelised façade systems.Coloured all the way through, DuPont Corian ® made-to-measurepanels offer easy maintenance, good weather and UV resistance,and high-quality detailing and finishing possibilities. The panelscan also be repaired in situ.Made-to-measurefabricationStandard Corian ® panels (0.93 x 3.66 m) areassembled, seamed and sanded.The maximum finished size is 5.5 x 2.2 m(W x H), and the panel thickness is 12.3 mm.The joints are reinforced at the rear by 6 mmthick strips with a width of 5 cm.The panels are supplied directly by ourCorian ® Quality Network fabricator.Joints and thermalexpansionOverlapped or open joints are located on allpanel edges. The joint width depends onthe thermal expansion coefficient of Corian ®and the panel dimensions. The fixing method is designed toallow movement due to thermal expansionand to accommodate deflection due to windloads and other horizontal loads that canproduce rotational forces.FAÇALU ® aluminium bracketsThe C-shaped brackets fromETANCO clip into the secondaryframework with a minimum of effort.SQUIRREL TM metal inserts forCorian ® panelsCorian ®These inserts have a pull-outstrength of approximately 400 kgwith a thickness of 8 mm.They are embedded in the Corian ®sheets by Corian ® Joint adhesive.
