STRAIGHT A, 4.0 LUNCHESAt the conclusion of each academic quarter,school leadership honors those students whohave excelled academically on their quarter reportcards. Those with 4.0 GPAs or better are treatedto a catered lunch in the Raider Room, whilethose students earning straight A’s on their reportcards have an off campus lunch. During therecent school year, they dined at Henry Shane’sCars of Yesteryear Museum, the Chifici Family’sDeanie’s Seafood, and the Impastato Family’sImpastato’s Restaurant.As it is each year, the current school year hasbeen a busy one for members of OperationHeadStart. The student and alumni volunteerskept a busy schedule of events both in NewOrleans and across the country. They work withat-risk kids, the elderly, and other individualsand groups with special needs. As HeadStartbroadens its reach, members hosted a group16 :: Archbishop Rummel High School Alumni Associationof students from St. Mary’s College School inBerkley, CA, as the guests did service workwith the St. Bernard Project. Finally, presentand former members of Operation HeadStartcelebrated the completion of its 20th year witha party in the Raider Room.
