Dress CodeWe strongly urge students and parents tobecome familiar with the dress code policy.In particular: tank tops, mesh shirts, haltertops, midriff shirts, short shorts/skirts, flipflops, pajamas, house slippers or clothingwith inappropriate messages are not to beworn. All Students will attend orientationassemblies at the start of the year to furtherreview this policy. We recognize thatclothing styles are constantly changing andsome items may be considered appropriateby students and parents for generalwear, but are inappropriate for schoolattire.Our responsibility is to maintain a schoolenvironment focusing on serious academicpursuits. We are asking parental supportin helping students make wise choicesabout their school attire so they are notput in the position of having to missclass because of an inappropriateclothing item.FROM THE NURSE:Medication PolicyPlease inform the <strong>School</strong> Nurse of anymedical problems or needs. Studentsrequired to take medicine at schoolshould present a FORM I signed by thedoctor. The FORM I may be requested atany time from the school nurse. It would bebeneficial if parents would inform the schoolpersonnel of any health problems or healthneeds. A DOCTOR’S NOTE ISNECESSARY IF A STUDENT CANNOTPARTICIPATE IN GYM CLASS, NEEDSRESTROOM PRIVILEGES, HEALTHCONSIDERATION OR IS TAKINGMEDICATION. Students should not keeptheir medication with them unless instructedto do so by the <strong>School</strong> Nurse, Mrs.Dewberry. For additional info, please call627-7671.Sick StudentsStudents are sent home for various reasons,including pink eye, severe pain or severeheadache, vomiting, contagious diseases ora fever of 99.8 or higher. Parents mustprovide transportation. Students will not besent home for headaches or cramps.Students who are sent home must get apermission pass in the Main Office, and signout before leaving. Students will not beexcused for leaving without signing out.Students In AthleticsStudents participating in any athletic program at<strong>Wyandotte</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> must have a completedphysical form signed by a physician, a signedathletic permit form listingtheir accident insurancecompany indicating properinsurance coverage orsigned waiver. These fornsmust be on file with theAthletic Department. Fallsports athletes need to takecare of this immediately ifthey have not done soalready. Athletes who participate later in the yearhave more time. Please don’t let your team-matesdown by not getting the paperwork in on time. NOONE can practice without a physical.Student Activity TicketsCost for an Activity Ticket is $45.00. Besidessupporting our athletic/activity programs, you willbe able to attend all home sports activities, vocaland instrumental music concerts at no additionalcosts. You will also receive $2 discount for schooldances. Everyone participating in Sports,Cheerleading, Drill Team, Pep Club,Instrumental/Vocal Music and STUCO membersare required to purchase an Activity Ticket. AnActivity Ticket must be purchased beforeparticipation.Family Activity TicketsCost for a Family Activity Ticket Package is$60.00. This package includes 4 adult (nonstudent)activity tickets. As a family activity ticketholder, you will be permitted to attend all<strong>Wyandotte</strong> Home activities such as plays,concerts, and regular athletic activities free ofcharge. As a special bonus you will also have VIPparking and seating at these events. Thesepasses are non-transferable, so each personincluded in the package will need to stop by theschool to receive his/her own personalized activityticket badge.Individual Activity TicketsCost for an Individual Activity Ticket is $45.00. Asan individual activity ticket holder, you will bepermitted to attend all <strong>Wyandotte</strong> Home activitiessuch as plays, concerts, and regular athleticactivities free of charge and also receive thebonus of VIP parking and seating.Senior Activity TicketAs a way to say “Thank You”, for being part of our<strong>Wyandotte</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Community, a specialsenior activity ticket will be given free of charge toanyone 65 years of age or older. You will need topersonally stop by during school hours of 7:00 am– 3:00 pm to receive your Senior Activity Ticket.A valid ID will be required.
