R1 R2 R3 R4 R5 Program Curriculum Surgery rotations take place at SingHealth’s hospitals, namely Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), and at major participating site, Changi General Hospital (CGH). You would learn at various junior and senior levels for the respective subspecialties, with opportunities to participate in complex procedures. Sample Rotation Chart Junior Level 24 months (These rotations to be completed either in Year 2 or Year 3) Residents go through 2-monthly junior level GS postings in various subspecialties + Senior Level 24 months (These rotations to be completed either in Year 4 or Year 5) Residents go through 3-monthly senior level GS postings in various subspecialties + Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Licensing Requirement Internal Medicine* 4 months Thoracic Surgery 2 months General Surgery (GS) 4 months Vascular Breast Vascular 2 months Upper Hepato- Gastrointestinal pancreato-biliary (GI) Tract (HPB) / Transplant 2 months 2 months Vascular 3 months HPB / Transplant 3 months Head & Neck Breast 2 months Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) 2 months Breast 3 months Colorectal 3 months Pediatric Surgery 3 months Colorectal 2 months “Surgery is a rewarding prof ess ion that equips us with the skills to provide immediate relief to patients.
