Organizer: Fallout Shelter Arcade & <strong>Convergence</strong> Events<br />
In 2010 we entered into a partnership with Fallout Shelter Arcade,<br />
Minnesota’s only operator of the Virtual World Tesla II cockpit simulators.<br />
We are excited to have Fallout Shelter Arcade return at CONvergence<br />
<strong>2012</strong>, where they will again bring their Tesla II cockpit simulators running<br />
BattleTech: Firestorm to Garden Court. These simulators are free to watch,<br />
and while there is a fee to play, <strong>Convergence</strong> Events receives a portion of<br />
the proceeds. Fallout Shelter Arcade also does monthly gaming events at<br />

The Shuharikan Aikido Dojo Presents<br />
a Demonstration of Yoshinkan Aikido<br />

This martial art is required learning for members of the Tokyo riot police<br />
and is a practical and powerful defensive art accessible to people of all<br />
ages and abilities. Come see how to fall and not get hurt and how to throw<br />
someone twice your size.<br />
Geek Physique Yoga Quest<br />

Join us on an epically silly journey, as the Women of the Whedonverse take<br />
on some Big Bads. This blend of yoga and storytelling is the best yoga class<br />
in the ‘verse! Yoga mats are available to borrow if you need one.<br />

CONvergence Blood Drive<br />

Since Robert Heinlein organized his first drive at MidAmericon in 1976,<br />
blood drives have been a staple at many big cons. In keeping with this<br />
grand tradition, the USS Nokomis (a Twin Cities Star Trek Fan Club – www.<br />
ussnokomis.org) is once again proud to host a CONvergence blood drive<br />
on Saturday, July 7th. (continued)<br />

• You can save THREE lives with your donation<br />
• It only takes about an hour<br />
• Almost everyone can donate blood, even if they stayed up late<br />
partying on Friday night<br />
You can schedule your donation online to reserve your preferred time - go<br />
to www.redcrossblood.org. If you haven’t pre-scheduled your appointment,<br />
you can stop in to Room 108 on Thursday or Friday night and talk to a USS<br />
Nokomis member. You may also stop by the lobby after 11am on Saturday<br />
to check for open appointments.<br />
Please remember: you have the ability to be a hero and save lives by doing<br />
something very simple. Go boldly to the bus and roll up your sleeve!!<br />

Invitational Bat’leth Tournament<br />

Worthy warriors are invited to join the kliingons sat morning 9:30am<br />
poolside as they fight for a cure against diabetes. Certifications are at<br />
9:30am with the tourny begining at 10:00am. Entry fee is $10.00 and all<br />

The TARDIS High Tea Party<br />

It’s tea with The Doctor, with a bustle-and-crinoline twist. A rift in time has<br />
allowed The Doctor to sit down with all eleven Victorian lady versions of<br />
himself (plus a few Companions and villains) in a performance-style high<br />
tea.<br />
CONvergence is proud to again offer ASL communications assistance for<br />
all Deaf, HH and ASL Impaired, and welcome them to join us in our<br />
celebration of Science Fiction and Fantasy.<br />
At the convention you will see interpreters at the front of some events<br />
and panels. If they ask for space in the front row, please respect such<br />
requests. You should also feel free to call on them if you need a hand, or<br />
two, to chat with a hearing–impaired fan.<br />
Below are the hours ASL Interpreters will be available. If you need an<br />
interpreter at the convention please contact us through the Volunteers<br />
Table in CONvergence Central, and when the Volunteers Table is closed<br />
you can contact us at The Bridge (Verandas 2 & 4 - x7215).<br />

the Dealers Room.<br />

Art show will again be located in Plazas 5 and 6. As always, we’ll have<br />
artwork of all kinds from across the country for you to browse and buy.<br />
There will also be artwork awards that you can vote on.<br />
The Art Auction will start at 9:00pm on Saturday night and will be<br />
located in Atrium 4, upstairs and across from the Art Show. Please note<br />
that the Auction will start at 9:00pm whether the Masquerade is finished<br />
or not.<br />
If you have purchased art, you can come pick it up on Sunday between<br />
10:00am and 2:00pm. If you are an artist, you can come pick up your art<br />
during that same time.<br />
