The goal of the planning process will be to bringadditional flexible payment options at the Community Empowerment Food Center and toprovide additional outreach for existing farmers’ markets to accept food stamp benefits.The increased food stamp participation rate will increase the economic return for localfarmers by expanding their consumer base and will benefit low-income individuals byproviding them with fresh, healthy produce. We would increase online POS applications atsites across the city.
