Other research has chieflybeen on such protagonists in the story as Xi ShiWu Zixu and Fan Liaddressing the evaluations of themtheir images and evolutions the philosophical thoughts reflected in the story and so on. Such studythoughnot without profound understanding of the story itselfis in want of creativity and new insight. For furtherstudy in this fielda broader academic horizon is in needin addition to the introduction and application ofsuch perspectives as narratology literary anthropology and receptive aestheticsspecial importance should beattached to the cultivation of methodological consciousness.Key words“The Wu and the Yue Kingdoms battling for hegemony”storyresearchreview26
