Asan employee of <strong>Winston</strong>-<strong>Salem</strong>/<strong>Forsyth</strong> <strong>County</strong> Schools, you are a part of one of the finest school systems in North Carolina.This handbook provides general information about the school system, the benefits you are entitled to receive, and employeeexpectations.This handbook is divided into two sections:• General information about your job, your pay, your benefits, how to resolve problems, and how to advance your career. Thissection also contains summaries of some of the most important policies and administrative regulations that affect you as anemployee. Entire policies and administrative regulations are not included in the handbook but are accessible from the WS/FCS Web site. Ask your principal or supervisor if there are other practices or procedures unique to your work environmentthat you must follow.• A reference section (pages 23-35) with information about the school system, contact lists, and schedules. The teacher and staffcalendar is on the back cover.I hope you will find this handbook helpful and will keep it as a reference.Throughout the year, you will receive electronic copies of Inside Info, our employee newsletter.
