Corsica is split in<strong>to</strong> two departments, Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud,with its regional capital in Ajaccio, the prefecture of Corse-du-Sud. Bastia, the prefecture ofHaute-Corse, is the second-largest settlement in Corsica.Although Corsica is still commonly described as one of 22 régions of metropolitan France, its<strong>official</strong> status was changed in 1991 from région <strong>to</strong> collectivité terri<strong>to</strong>riale à statut particulier(“terri<strong>to</strong>rial collectivity with special status”). Any amount not deductedfrom the deposit will be refunded at checkout in thesame currency as remitted. In order <strong>to</strong> facilitate matters,the chief delegate or team leader will be asked <strong>to</strong>provide a credit card or cash <strong>to</strong> cover the deposit for theentire team. Competition information30th MediterraneanBody Building andFitness ChampionshipsTHE A – TEAMEach National Federation may enter an A-Team. Themaximum permissible number of competi<strong>to</strong>rs in the A-Team shall be equal <strong>to</strong> the <strong>to</strong>tal number of categories. Inthis case the national federations will be permitted <strong>to</strong> enteran A- team of up <strong>to</strong> a maximum of 20 athletes with no morethan 2 athletes in the same weight category. In this case 20competi<strong>to</strong>rs: 8 in men’s bodybuilding, 1 men’s Juniorbodybuilding, 1 men’s master bodybuilding, 3 men’sclassic bodybuilding, 1 men’s fitness, 1 men’s physique, 1women’s bodybuilding 1 women’s body fitness, 1 women’sfitness, 1 women’s bikini and 1 men’s handicap.The A-Team competi<strong>to</strong>rs shall compete for placings andawards, including the best National Team award.Each National Federation must declare their A-Team on thefinal entry form and must register the A-Team competi<strong>to</strong>rsupon check-in at the <strong>official</strong> hotel, failing which anyundeclared competi<strong>to</strong>r shall be disqualified.NOTEFor the Handicap category only one athlete per country ispermitted <strong>to</strong> participate and only in the A-Team. TheAthletes will be categorized during weight-in according <strong>to</strong>the participations.! National Anthem / FlagAll participating National Federations must bring a shortversion (less than 60 seconds) of their national anthem onCD. The national anthem must be the only music on theCDAll participating national federations must bring withthem two national flags. The flags must be no more than2.5 meters X 1.5 meters!THE B-TEAMEach national federation may enter a B-Team according <strong>to</strong>the rules specified below. Unless otherwise noted themaximum permissible number of competi<strong>to</strong>rs in B-Teamshall not exceed those in A-team. In this case 19 (Handicapis excluded form B-Team) competi<strong>to</strong>rs: 8 in men’sbodybuilding, 1 men’s Junior bodybuilding, 1 men’smaster bodybuilding, 3 men’s classic bodybuilding, 1men’s fitness, 1 men’s physique, 1 women’s bodybuilding1 women’s body fitness, 1 women’s fitness and 1 women’sbikini. The maximum allowable number of B-Teamcompeti<strong>to</strong>rs per national federation in any category is 2.The B-Team competi<strong>to</strong>rs shall compete for placing andawards but will not be included in the Team’sclassification.A National Federation must fully declare its B-teamcompeti<strong>to</strong>rs on the final entry form and must register the B-Team competi<strong>to</strong>rs upon check-in at the <strong>official</strong> hotel, failingwhich any undeclared competi<strong>to</strong>r shall be disqualified.7

Additional Competition informationPARADE OF NATIONSThe dress code for all Delegates and/or <strong>official</strong>s taking partin the Parade of Nations is the IFBB <strong>official</strong> uniform. Thedress code for all athletes taking part in the Parade ofNations is posing attire. This fee may be paid at theChampionships.If the above conditions haven’t been met, judges willnot be able <strong>to</strong> carry out their duties at theChampionships.PLEASE DO NOT FAX/EMAIL YOUR NOMINATIONS TOIFBB HEADQUARTERS.In order <strong>to</strong> compete in the championships, all competi<strong>to</strong>rswill be required <strong>to</strong> sign a Drug Testing Consent & Waiverof Liability Form (available in the appendix) at the weighinand registration. Doping controls may be conductedusing any of the following methods:Random Selection: A number of athletes selected atrandom throughout the event e.g. at weigh-in.Weighted Selection: A number of athletes selected atrandom from among the <strong>to</strong>p finalists e.g. at finals. TheIFBB reserves the rights <strong>to</strong> target test any athlete.The IFBB is a signa<strong>to</strong>ry <strong>to</strong> the WADA code. ParticipatingNational Federations have the duty and obligation <strong>to</strong>ensure that their national team athletes are competingdrug-free in IFBB International Competitions.PASSPORT/MUSICAll competi<strong>to</strong>rs must provide their PASSPORT and MUSICat weigh in/ height measurement. The music must be on aCD, the first track on the CD. The Athletes’ name must bemarked on the CD for identification purposes.IMPORTANT NOTICEThe use of profane, vulgar and/or offensivelanguage is strictly prohibited in posing music.MEDIA ACCREDITATIONAll media accreditation, except local media, shall becontrolled by the IFBB. Others wishing <strong>to</strong> obtain mediaaccreditation for this event must register with the IFBB.Please contact the French Federation of Body Building andFitness for more information.All international judges must present their internationaljudge’s cards.DOPING CONTROLS Doping controls will be conducted by the IFBB medicalcommission pursuant <strong>to</strong> the IFBB anti-Doping rules, using aWADA accredited labora<strong>to</strong>ry.IMPORTANT NOTICEThe IFBB has banned all tans that can be wiped off.An <strong>official</strong> will check all athletes’ tans backstageand if the tan comes off by simply wiping, theathlete will be <strong>to</strong>ld <strong>to</strong> remove the tan before goingon stage.9


GREEN CARDSGreen cards used <strong>to</strong> regulate access <strong>to</strong> the Weigh-in andbackstage area during the Registration, Prejudging andFinals, will be distributed at the Judges/Team ManagersMeeting as follows:Five (5) or more competi<strong>to</strong>rs – two (2) green cardsLess than five (5) competi<strong>to</strong>rs - one (1) green cardBACKSTAGE ACCESS/DRESSING ROOM ACCESSBackstage access and/or dressing room areas access arestrictly limited <strong>to</strong> essential personnel only. Coaches andtrainers who assist athletes in the dressing room area mustbe of the same sex as the athlete they are assisting.CAMERA/VIDEOTAPE EQUIPMENTCamera and/or videotape equipment is strictly prohibitedin the backstage and/or dressing room areas except whenused by IFBB-authorized media persons and, in any event,these devices are strictly prohibited in the dressing roomarea.FAILURE TO HONOR FINAL ENTRY FORM DEADLINEDeadlines are set in order <strong>to</strong> assist the Organizer witharranging accommodations, meals, onsite transportationand other Championship activities. Failure <strong>to</strong> respectthese deadlines is a breach of IFBB Rules. If a NationalFederation fails <strong>to</strong> respect the deadline mentioned on theFinal Entry Form, each “Official Participant” from thatFederation will be required <strong>to</strong> pay all of his or her ownexpenses, including accommodations, meals, onsitetransportation, and access <strong>to</strong> the Prejudging, Finals andFarewell Banquet.MISREPRESENTATIONMisrepresentation is a serious breach of the IFBB Code ofEthics and occurs when an “<strong>official</strong>” of a NationalFederation deliberately misrepresents the number ofAthletes and Delegates so as <strong>to</strong> obtain free-of-chargeaccommodations, meals, onsite transportation, access <strong>to</strong>the Prejudging, Finals and Farewell Banquet and otheramenities at the expense of the Organizer.Part of this misrepresentation may be false claims that aperson is an Athlete only <strong>to</strong> have that so-called Athlete fail<strong>to</strong> <strong>official</strong>ly register as a competi<strong>to</strong>r at the Weigh-in or,once having <strong>official</strong>ly registered, fail <strong>to</strong> compete. AnyNational Federation found guilty of misrepresentation willbe immediately disqualified from the Championships andwill be fined an amount equal <strong>to</strong> the Special Package Ratefor each person involved.MEDICAL WITHDRAWALOnce <strong>official</strong>ly registered, no Athlete may withdraw fromcompetition without the prior approval of the IFBB ChiefJudge. It is not acceptable for a National Federation <strong>to</strong>withdraw an Athlete without the prior approval of the IFBBChief Judge, who has the right <strong>to</strong> verify the reason for thewithdrawal. Any National Federation that fails <strong>to</strong> seek theprior approval of the IFBB Chief Judge beforewithdrawing an Athlete shall, for that Athlete’s nonparticipation,be fined an amount equal <strong>to</strong> the SpecialPackage Rate.PRELIMINARY ENTRY FORMThe deadline date for the Preliminary Entry Form isSeptember 1st 2013. National Federations must return thePreliminary Entry Form <strong>to</strong> the Organizing Committee assoon as possible but not later than deadline, confirmingtheir Federation’s intent <strong>to</strong> participate. If at this time youdo not know the actual names of the Official Participants(Athletes and Delegates, including judges), pleaseindicate the <strong>to</strong>tal number of individuals who willparticipate in the Championships.FINAL ENTRY FORMThe deadline date for the Final Entry Form is Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 3rd2013. National Federations must submit the actual namesof all Official Participants (Athletes by weight categoryand Delegates, including judges). You must also includeflight arrival and departure information. In order <strong>to</strong>guarantee hotel accommodations for your team, the FinalEntry Form must be returned not later than the deadlinedate. Your co-operation is essential <strong>to</strong> ensuring youraccommodations at the hotel and adequate transportationfor your team.It is the responsibility of the President or Generalsecretaryof each participating National Federation <strong>to</strong>ensure that all National Team members (athletes,delegates, extra delegates) are fully aware of the rulesand regulations governing participation at theseChampionships, including the statements containedwithin this <strong>Inspection</strong> <strong>Report</strong>. If any of your athletesand/or delegates are traveling and arriving separatefrom your Team Manager or Chief Delegate, you mustensure they are familiar with the rules and regulationscontained within the <strong>Inspection</strong> <strong>Report</strong>10

A- team of up <strong>to</strong> a maximum of 20 athleteswith no more than 2 athletes in the same weight category. In this case 20 competi<strong>to</strong>rs: 8 in men’s bodybuilding, 1 men’s Juniorbodybuilding, 1 men’s master bodybuilding, 3 men’s classic bodybuilding, 1 men’s fitness, 1 men’s physique, 1 women’s bodybuilding 1women’s body fitness, 1 women’s fitness , 1 women’s bikini and 1 men’s Handicap. The maximum allowable number of B-Team shall notexceed those in A-Team. In this case 19 (handicap is excluded from B-Team) competi<strong>to</strong>rs with no more than 2 athletes in the same weightcategory.For Handicap category only one athlete per country is permitted <strong>to</strong> participate in A-Team only.IMPORTANT: Three (3) or more athletes – two (2) <strong>official</strong> delegates permitted. Less than three (3) athletes – one <strong>official</strong> (1) delegatepermitted. National Federations with no athletes may send one (1) <strong>official</strong> delegate; however, this delegate will be responsible for all of hisor her expenses.
