THE BOOK
THE AUTHORS
This book is a modern and uncomplicated guide to learning
volleyball at a young age. Colorful drawings of boys and girls
illustrate the correct movements and actions for the young player
in a very clear and informative way.
This book takes into account that the age of 6 to 14 years is the
most convenient for learning. It is this age in which the greatest
biological growth and the development of technique, speed and
agility happens – and therefore in which the basics for a great
volleyball player can be learned.
In using their own approach to a combination of technique and
condition training, tactics and competition, the authors make their
great experience in coaching available, in order to make the most
out of the development of every volleyball player.
Sava Grozdanović has been the coach of the
Yugoslavian National Team of both men and
women for many years.
Prof. Aleksandar Marinković is an expert on
endurance. He is the coach of competitive
track and field athletes as well as soccer teams.
He has written more than 30 books on sport.
Lazar Grozdanović has been the coach of the
Yugoslavian National Team (men) for almost
30 years. In this time the team has won medals
at European and World Championships as well
as at the Olympics. He is largely responsible
for a generation of players whose many
successes culminated in the gold medal at the
Olympics in Sydney.
